I know both the importance in placing one's priorities on real life; and the gratitude I have in the enormous contributions, energy, and talent you've contributed over the years. You've provided leadership with compassion, maturity, and humor.

Go through the C3G Books of Index and see the wonderful mountain you've created. I encountered the C3G community when Marvel was pretty much dismissed by the community at large, and customs were dismissed outright without a thought. You've taken Heroscape to the next level.

My avatars (waterfalls) provide a nice analogy: drop by drop, one at a time, until you look back and notice the chasm created by its force.

Take care, and ignore the ugly rumors of pestilence, disease, tornadoes, fierce lightning strikes, howling winds, muggers behind every tree, poverty, rabid wildlife that'll rip off your face may your new adventure in Alabama find you and your wife in good health, humor, and peace.

Oh, and Anti-Monitor rocks!

Now, on to RL...what is all of this change and move you allude to? Is it discussed in some other thread that I missed?
The biggest part is that I'll be closing on a house in Montgomery, Alabama this Friday. The process for that has been hectic and time consuming, and I know the move down there from New York and setting up the house and getting used to a new area and community are only going to add to that (not to mention new responsibilities like mowing my lawn!).

I've also recently picked up a part-time job and started four weeks of grand jury duty! Some of that will slow in time and some of it won't, and new stuff will be added, and I've just gotten to the point where I realize I don't have enough passion left in the tank to carry through it.

Maybe it'll come back some day or things will slow down enough and I'll get bored and come crawling back. For now, though, I think this is the right move for me.

Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those.

Congratulations on leading an amazing group of people that have worked so hard to create a plethora of fantastically fun designs. If it wasn't for the cheap card stock I've used, not one of my friends would know the difference between a C3G design or a Hasbro produced design in terms of quality. In my eyes and probably many other Heroscapers you've left your mark on this game as much as Craig Van Ness, Colby Dauch or anyone else affiliated with this fine game.

Enjoy your time off Bats, you've earned it! Maybe you'll even get a chance to play some C3G games without being in 'play test' mode.
