Re: St. Louis Area HeroScapers Group - Casual Scape Day 12/3
. It might just be easier to do this at someone's house. We'd definitely have more time to play. Not sure what everyone's collection has but I've got this. 13 - ROTV 8 - SOTM 3 - BOTU 5 - RttFF 5 - VW 8 - TJ 5 - TT 5 - FOTA Wave 1-13 (4-10 of each common, 2-4 of each Unique.) All GenCon Promos All Flagbearers I don't have any of the custom releases here (as getting mass figures seems to be a problem) I've also got allot of unopened hard to get stuff for trade. Traders: Hoser, Sphere, Taeblewalker, DiscoStu, Hogg, Onacara, Skeletor, Cavalier, PonchoMan, Just_a_Bill, KRUG!, Wytefang, i2hot4u, Jim, Lakai, NEWT, nerdcorerocks, JediNate, Mutt Lo. Re: St. Louis Area HeroScapers Group - Casual Scape Day 12/3
Good to hear from you!
Quote:
The casual day is only "scheduled" for 3 hours. As long as there are no events going on, the owners of Animagination have basically said that the tables are available as long as they are open. Anyone who wanted could continue on past that time. For me, 3 hours is the upper limit for the attention span of my 7 1/2 year old son. I am hopeful these casual days will be a step toward getting him ready for an all-day tournament. To maximize the playing time, I pre-assemble the map(s) I bring on a piece of foam core board the night before, except for stuff like glaciers and rock out croppings. Quote:
My wife thinks I've got a lot of stuff! Hope to meet you December 31! |

Re: St. Louis Area HeroScapers Group - Casual Scape Day 12/3
Just a reminder, our next Casual Scape Day is this Saturday!
I'll be bringing AliasQTip's Jungle Temple Ruin. It's a beautiful battlefield. I may bring one other map as well. Along with some Classic Scape armies, I will also have a couple made from the Heroes of Star Wars Scape project. Should be fun to have some Jedi and Sith leaping around the Jungle Temple. There's still room for more players. Ring out the old year with HeroScape! |

I have a friend coming, though she might not stay the whole time. If you need me to bring a map, I can.

I don't think space will be an issue this time, so go ahead and bring a map. It would give the opportunity to try out armies on different maps. If you decide which one you'll bring, please post it. That way, we can make sure the other map I bring won't be too similar. My son may also be bringing a couple of the HALO customs he's been working on to try out. |

Re: St. Louis Area HeroScapers Group - Casual Scape Day 12/3
Another Casual Scape Day completed.
We had 5 in attendance this time: WarriorofEberron Friend of WarriorofEberron mac122 Son of mac Friend of mac WoE brought a huge map he created by combining 2 maps from the Thaelenk Tundra scenarios. I brought AliasQTip's Jungle Temple Ruin and Dignan's Breach. Definitely 3 very different styles of maps. WoE's epic, sprawling battlefield provided ample time to move armies and set positions. The multiple LOS blockers, jungle terrain, close quarters, and elevation changes in Jungle Temple Ruin forced more tactical maneuvering. The relatively close start zones in Breach meant quick action - not much time to plan, just move and quickly countermove against your opponent. Everyone had fun, even Son of mac, who was disappointed that his Chief K HALO custom did not last as long as he would have liked. Stay tuned. We'll be setting a date for the next Casual Scape Day soon. Hope more of you can join us. |

Re: St. Louis Area HeroScapers Group - Casual Scape Day 12/3
I've added a bunch Superhero customs to my collection, so at the upcoming Casual Scape Day, in addition to some Classic Scape armies, I'll be bringing some official Marvel and awesome C3G customs to try out as well.

Re: St. Louis Area HeroScapers Group - Casual Scape Day 12/3
I'll be bringing 2 maps this Saturday. Not sure which ones yet, though I have been thinking about Dignan's Valor's Vale. The other will be one of the C3G maps to try out some Superheroes.

Re: St. Louis Area HeroScapers Group - Casual Scape Day 2/25
I will be attending tomorrow. I have a few questions:
First, how many point armies will the Superheroes be? I might bring some Classic to counter them. Second, should I bring a map? |

I haven't even selected the Supers I'm bringing, but I would guess around 1000 pts. If you can, go ahead and bring a map. That will give us 3 to choose from. I will be there with Son of Mac and Friend of Mac. Hopefully some more folks will show up. |
