Re: Spite's Customs - New Mod/Card -Sahuagin Brute
That is all I'm looking for. Thank you.
New mod today. Djakar Emberhail is a repainted Darrak Ambershard with Sonlen's dragon perched on his arm (repainted a deeper red from the original orange). Let me know what you think. I have a couple more cards in the works already, so hopefully I'll be back before too long. Thanks. Enjoy. ~Spite |

Re: Spite's Customs - New Mod/Card -Djakar Emberhail
The Djakar Emberhail mod looks great! The powers are clearly written and the card is well made. I am not sure if he is worth 90 points though. 4 life and 3 defense is pretty weak and his healing power doesn't seem reliable enough to make up for it. His special attack isn't all that powerful either. Most of the time a smart opponent will prepare for it and will not leave his figures adjacent. Maybe make him 75 or 80 points? That being said, the card definitely works and he makes a fun addition to the dwarf faction.

Re: Spite's Customs - New Mod/Card -Djakar Emberhail
Two new cards today:
First: Kullah, made from the DnD Hobgoblin Archer. Kullah was inspired by a game where I really needed a strong, ranged hero, but my army was entirely Utgar, and Kaemon and Syvarris just didn't fit thematically. I have tested Kullah out, and he's a lot of fun. And, since I tested him out in the same army, I present Braegor Thunderhelm, another Hill Dwarf for Einar (with one more yet to come). Braegor was inspired by the song "Less Talk More Rokk" by Freezepop. Actually, that's just what's playing right now and it has nothing to do with Braegor: Braegor was a LOT of fun to play. I got him down to a single life for a couple of rounds and had him surrounded by Romans. He gets pretty scary. Tell me what you think!! ~Spite |

Re: Spite's Customs - 2 New Cards!! 03/01
Wow, I've missed a lot of really good cards, sorry bout that.
I'll try to take a look at the others I missed latter, but for now my thoughts on the newest ones. -- Kullah -- The Range value goes before the Attack value for Special Attacks. Personally, I think he might be better off with his move and attack values switched. 4 move seems pretty slow for a Goblin, and 5 attack seems pretty strong for a bow and arrow. Otherwise I really like this guy, he's a nice simple but strong ranged figure for Utgar. -- Braegor -- Crest of Martog looks fine, the wording is slightly different from Sir Dupuis' power, but I don't think it really matters. I think Soldier's Death might be better off as two separate powers, one for the defence part and one for the attack part. Seems like they would flow better that way. Also, the defense part should mention it can only be used once per defense roll, like Empress Kiova's power. Otherwise looks good. Re: Spite's Customs - 3 New: Veldir and the Elementars
It's been a while since I updated, partially because I've been busy, and partially because I've been too busy designing the customs to upload and post them.
So here are three new cards. I wanted to augment the Granite Guardians, so I evolved the term "Elementar" to mean "one or two steps up from the raw elements." Hence, the GG are composed of various stones, along with bits of grass. The Woadroot Guardians, made from the Wood Woads of DnD, repainted for variety, along with the Pileid Guardians (DnD's Myconid Guard x3) are technically living matter, but still closely connected with the earth. The elf wizard tie-in was just to complete the set and give the Wizards something else to think about. Actually, I tried Veldir with Ulginesh and Arkmer, and the problem is that Elementars and Wizards are too expensive to flesh out both parts in one army. So I have to see if they work if I'm a little more selective. Like, maybe 1 type of Elementar next time instead of all three. Anyway, here they are: Let me know what you think. And there's more where these guys came from, so stay tuned. I've got a bunch more that I haven't posted yet. ~Spite Last edited by spiteofthedice; March 19th, 2011 at 05:42 PM. |

Re: Spite's Customs - 3 New: Veldir and the Elementars
Stun sounds like a good Anti-Deathreaver precaution.

Re: Spite's Customs - 3 New: Veldir and the Elementars
Hmmm...question, do the elementars take leaving engagement attacks when moved by stun? You may want to add something into the wording to clarify. Other than that, cool customs!

Nice work!
I did NOT spell "Utgar" incorrectly. Check the link below. http://www.heroscapers.com/community...4&postcount=85 |

And it's not just Elementars that get to disengage. When a WG hits its target, one sm/med figure gets to make a break for it. EDIT: Updated the card to reflect that figures moved by Stun do NOT take leaving engagement attacks from the stunned figure. They don't get to disengage from everybody for free, only the guy that got hit. Last edited by spiteofthedice; March 19th, 2011 at 05:44 PM. |

Re: Spite's Customs - 3 New: Veldir and the Elementars
I really like Djakar. He is very simple and a great dwarven "Sonlen". The mod also looks seamless- great job! Considering that Dragon Flare doesn't require LOS I think he is the right ball park as far as cost goes. I like the idea of being able to target a low defense figure that is adjacent to a high defense figure.
The Woadroot Guardians Stun ability looks like a great tactic for working through a melee screen to engage the protected range figures. Very useful. I also like how the abilities for the Pleid Guardians can work to negate height advantage on the opponent's attack and defense. Nice work, spite!
