Renegade isn't evil. It never has been in Mass Effect. It's always been the ends justifies the means. Paragon would never sacrifice an entire race, billions upon billions, when there was another option.

Re: What Video Game are you Currently Playing?

Downloaded Tribes: Ascend today on steam. Pretty fun, I guess. It reminds me of Halo crossed with TF2. I'm not very good at it yet, so I suppose I'll have to practice.

My tourney record: 14-32 or 30.43% wins

Re: What Video Game are you Currently Playing?

Downloaded Dungeon Fighter Online on Steam.

........ If grindy, clunky, stiff, torturously boring games with literally the most pathetic enemy AI I have ever seen in my life are your thing, then this will be right up your alley.
This game takes handholding you through easy early content up to RIDICULOUS levels. Not only were the early foes pathetically easy to defeat(~2 hits MAX), they, I kid you not, WOULD NOT ATTACK ME!
The areas are also basically divided into lanes. You use the up and down arrow keys to move through the lanes. YOU CAN BASICALLY ONLY HIT FOES IN YOUR LANE. Which means that if the enemy just moves one lane over as you're winding up a shot/strike, he avoids the attack entirely.
As far as the bosses were concerned, only one boss of the five I fought was actually visually impressive(he was a big minotaur guy), but he turned out to be a big punching bag.
Animations-wise, some of my attacks were actually pretty cool(when I actually hit something with them). Sprinting is activated by double-tapping either of the side arrow keys. It was useful, but you could only use it in the 'dungeon' areas, which was annoying. The normal walking animation was really stiff, and didn't look natural. The worst one was the jumping, as that felt REALLY clunky.

Basically, consider me disappointed. I'm sure that the game gets much better content-wise later on, but I found certain core mechanics of the game so disagreeable that I don't think I'll continue. Also, armor didn't change how my character looked(Which I also found disappointing since my starting armor looked stupid IMO).

Your curiosity will be the death of you....

The Tribes games feel different, overall, than any other shooter I've ever played. The jetpacks are an integral part of the game in a way I've never seen replicated in other games. I haven't played Ascend yet, but I plan to try it sometime.

When you first started playing, did you have an incredibly difficult time getting kills? I've only been able to either destroy smaller turrets that don't move or get lucky and kill a couple other players. Everyone seems to move too much for me to get shots on them. Although, when I do get a kill, I feel like I just accomplished a great task!

I'm playing Goldeneye for the N64. It has been a while since I have played Bond and it is a blast.

I first played Tribes 1 when I was about 7, so yes, I had a hard time killing other players. It takes practice. One of the most important things is to learn how to move with your jet pack. You should rarely walk anywhere in Tribes. Once you're more comfortable with moving around and maneuvering yourself in the air, then you can work more on target practice. You need to know when to lift off, when to keep rising, when to save your energy, when to start breaking your fall... Area-effect weapons, esp. the spinfusor, are really big in Tribes. One of the easiest ways to get kills when you're first starting off is to learn how to shoot the ground with explosive weapons just as your opponent is landing. It just takes time.

Nightfire is better.

I haven't heard of Nightfire. Is it for the N64? I have The World is not Enough, and its nearly as good as Goldeneye. Perfect Dark came close to surpassing the Bond games.

PS2 and GC, and I found it a lot better than Goldeneye.

Spoiler Alert!

Re: What Video Game are you Currently Playing?

I might have to pick that up for PS2 then. Thanks for the recommendation guys. That reminds me- I absolutely HATE that the PS3 is not backwards compatible.
