Popular posts
The phpBB seems to distinguish between "popular" and non-popular threads in the animated sheet icons. Does anyone know how the software calculates what's popular? (I just curious about this and have finally gotten around to asking.)

Note that there are a lot of popular threads ... Just because you're offended, it doesn't make you right.

Its configurable.
A thread with 25 posts I believe is the default for "Hot" threads. We may have changed it, not sure. Maybe we should change it if most than half of them are hot, cause I see it more as a top 10% kind of thing. It's really kind of redundant anyway... considering you can just say.. hey, this thread has 900 posts! ::Nathan Hoel:: |

Thanks, Ketch, that's exactly the kind of information I was looking for. Would it save us any bandwidth or processing time to just turn that calculation and those animations off? (Just looking to speed things up and smooth them out.)
