HeroScape Tournament - The Gathering

• Where: Grimfoe Games, 598 Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush, NY 12061
• When: August 24, 2013, doors open at 11:00, tournament to start around 12:00 - 12:15
• Armies: 510 points (no marvel, the only customs allowed must be SoV/C3V approved)
• Entry Fee: Prize for the prize table + $5.00 (to be used to buy door prizes)
• Boards: see here
  Scoring: Swiss; partial card scoring
• Starting Zones: Traditional 24 hexes, so keep that in mind when building your armies.
• Glyphs: See maps
  

Hey All,

This is the first tournament the Sweeneys are hosting solo; Grimfoe games has, once again, graciously agreed to host us. (Hats off to the folks over at Grimfoe!) As some may recall, about a year ago, DanKarabinHatesYou hosted Saturday Showdown there, a few months before a combination of Alex Karasavidas, my Father (Tim Sweeney), along with my brother, and myself hosted a tournament at Grimfoe; the year before, Kinseth hosted there, as well.

If I recall correctly there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

If you think you can make it, or might be able to make it, please post here so we can begin creating our list of potential players.

Joseph Sweeney, this is music to my ears! I haven't been to a tourney in person for two years now. Please put me down as a strong maybe. If there is anyway possible for me to attend, I'll be there. I'm going to inform my local group as well, so I might be bringing 1-4 other 'Scapers with me. I'll follow your thread closely, and keep you updated when I know more!

Of course, Marrowick is most certainly welcome! Bring whoever you like, I had naturally assumed all your brothers would attend, as well. (And quite frankly, hoped they would)

There are two questions that came to me. Will you be using the standard Swiss tournament format for this event? Also, have you decided on the number of rounds?

Hmmm... been too long since I've been in a tourney. I can't say I'm even a maybe at this point, but it's on the radar.

I'm a strong maybe, along with my son, just depends on our August vacation schedule.

If I do come I'm going to paint up a Feral Troll, Ogre Pulverizer or Werewolf Lord as prize support

Well you're not going to see Utger playing (you will see him there, just not playing) He says he finds it boring now. He's moved onto playing warhammer 40k. I'm sure this will be fun.
