I don't think destroying your own Aquaman is a good use of limited resources (attacks), especially when you still get a bonus when he's around (+1 defense). Instead, I think it's license to be super aggressive with Aquaman and run him out front, trying to kill off the queen pieces on the other side, while shielding Mera in the back to retain your boosts well after he falls.

Instead of saying "the chosen figure" in the places in red, should you say "that chosen figure" to avoid rules lawyers suggesting that any of the up to four chosen figures could be affected then?

That is sort of what I was thinking Bats but my reservation was that I may not be taking advantage of the Defense aura.

I guess it works much like Hawkgirl and Hawkman but that defense aura is tempting.

You wouldn't be taking advantage of the defensive aura with Aquaman, but you could protect both Mera and other Atlanteans with it in the meantime. And you could at least position her so that Aquaman was able to move through her aura on his path to somewhere else (an aura of 6 spaces in each direction is a significant number of hexes).

I think it would be cool to boost her range by 1 or 2 while she is within 2 spaces of a water space as well as the attack boost.

Looking good mechanically speaking, but I preferred Aquakinesis as two separate powers; it read more smoothly to me with the Water Strength (or Water Strength-ish, as it stands now) part separated from the rest of the power. The bulk of the text is all about the placement/wounding power, and it feels like it should stand on its own.
