The Eldrazi Ruiner giveth and the Eldrazi Ruiner taketh away....

As much as this figure works together with the Eldrazi Ruiner in both theme and playstyle, I really wish one or both of the Devour powers worked with ANY hero by just replacing "Eldrazi hero creature" with "hero creature" on the power. Just having a colorless 55 point squad would be nice to add when you have an odd point value in any color army you are drafting.

How exactly is it that the Ruiner can eat these things from all the way on the other side of the battlefield?

If your looking for a logical answer here, not sure what to tell you. Its just their design. Physically it does seem funny. Youd never see something pop up like that from c3v or heroes of starwars scape.

Maybe the Scions have the ability to lob themselves at 200 mph so they splatter harmlessly on the ground next to an ally, which is then free to eat them.
