That is one of the ways we test HoSS units. Ive played hundreds of games with HoSS mixed with Original and C3V. They are balanced to play with one another. However. The force wielding units can force push other small and medium figures into same level or lower lava if they are within 2 spaces away from molten lava in a straight line. As long as your opponent is aware they can avoid being force dunked into lava. If you are thinking, can I play test HoSS with regular units, the answer is absolutely.

Edit: read segment 4 of the playtesting guide rules a couple posts up.

Let me know what you are after via pm. I have quite a few different figures available. Though I have sold a decent chunk of them.

Re: The HoSS Cantina

Hi guys, been scaping for awhile now, (have the whole set and some customs). Always been a big star wars fan and my kids are getting into it too now. Wondering if there is a somewhat economical way to get into HOSS?

Re: The HoSS Cantina

With the SW mini game no longer being made, best way is to shop for people unloading big lots of figures on e-bay. You'll get a bunch of units we've made cards for that way for a reasonable price, you just won't really get to pick and choose which ones you own. You can always proxy with some of the mini's you end up with. Like I don't actually have a Greedo figure, but I have a generic Rodian figure I use for him.

Other option is to buy 3-D printed figures and paint them up. @White Knight has been creating tons of 3-D files and figures for HoSS units. Ask him about buying some if you don't know anyone who can print them for you.

So, where in WI? I'm down around Sparta myself. Quite a few people have posted to this site from WI, or close by in MN. Kind of spread out across the state though. We had an event last Summer in LaCrosse and about a dozen people showed up to play Classic Heroscape.

Not really unless you can find someone selling off extras that will give you a good price. Most of the online sites have gotten pretty pricey due to lack of availability. @TREX has some extras he's selling. He will likely make you a good deal. You might be able to find a bulk lot on ebay that would give you a good price per figure, but of course, that means laying out a chunk of cash all at once. I have a bunch of extras I'll be listing on this site once I have a chance to sort through them all.

YodaKing I met you at the LaCrosse event! I was there with my daughter. I think I met you at least. I played a squad of spearmen. We are in one of the Madison burbs. I'd like to get scape going with the local madison gamecon. I know a guy who sounds like he's tight with the organizers, been meaning to talk to him. I organize a golf league so I'm kinda already a busy guy.. but love to scape!

I am no newbie to watching ebay auctions and picking up lots. From a quality standpoint are the "star wars miniatures game" the best quality pieces to watch for? Also I have a 3d printed and am a hobyiest with it, but it's hard to get scape quality prints without high quality scans....if I could find great scans I'd consider printing and trying to paint or commissioning painting to get into HOSS.

Star Wars Miniatures Game minis are the best (and pretty sure only) pre-painted minis to look for, IMO. If you paint, there are a lot of great options with Imperial Assault and Star Wars Legion figures. I have mostly SWM minis, but have supplemented with a few Imperial Assault figures. A few things still currently percolating in the HoSS Inner Sanctum will require proxies/mods/3D printed/unpainted figures.

Sweet! Yeah, I remember you. Just don't remember all the names for people, both online and in person.

If you don't care about them being painted up, Mac brings up a good idea. Just start picking up figures from one of the Imperial Assault or Legion games. They are a bigger scale, but as long as that's the only ones you are using for 'human' sized units it shouldn't really matter. Might still be able to get away with SW mini figures for things like the AT-AT and Rancor.
