Just an update that I’ll be hitting mine once my finals are done this weekend. I left my board on the table and my kids wrecked the battlefield so I need to start over. No biggie because Lou and Harley got dropped pretty quick.

C3G STANDARD PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM

Spoiler Alert!

Angel was able to somewhat limit the impact of Pack Tactics here, but it still came through pretty well for Bud & Lou - they got a 3-skull attack roll in on Armor that she only came up with 1 shield for, and she ended up getting destroyed as a result. (Would have only been a 1-wound hit ordinarily)

They also got an extra wound in on Angel, but that was kinda the end of their romp. Angel and Jubilee took em out shortly afterward.

Jubilee ended up taking Angel out in a gambit to get at Harley, but Harley ended up coming up with a big defense roll to save her skin, leading to a Jubilee-Harley showdown that Harley won after a few turns.

Unit Summary:

• Damage Done (Normal Attack): 3 wounds to Armor in 1 attack (destroyed)
• Harley's Babies: bonded with Harley throughout
• Pack Tactics: subtracted 1 shield from Armor's defense roll against Bud, resulting in 2 additional wounds and her destruction. Subtracted 1 shield from Angel's defense roll against Harley, resulting in additional wound.
• Agile Climbing: helped movement throughout
• Damage Taken: both survived 1 SA from Jubilee. Bud destroyed in 1 attack from Angel, Lou destroyed by a second SA from Jubilee

Units: Harley (II), Bud & Lou, Crimson Dynamo (400) vs Speedy (Roy), Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Aqualad (400)

Mixed Bud and Lou with a cheap multi-attacker (who has some defense reduction of his own) to try and leverage Pack Tactics. Seemed like it might pan out, but then, just before Crimson Dynamo could leap into action, Aqualad brought out the big guns with a 1-skull roll against Bud, or possibly Lou. The unfortunate hyena whiffed on defense, putting an end to the scourge of Pack Tactics. Aqualad took out the other on his next turn, marking this as by far the best game Aqualad's ever had for me.

They were still pretty handy in this game for some quick wounds on Aqualad and engaging Speedy early, but Pack Tactics wasn't as big a deal as last time.

Thanks in part to the strong showing from Aqualad (still shocked Bud & Lou and Harley didn't kill him), the Titans had a pretty solid victory here.

• Harley's Babies/Agile Climbing: used for bonding/movement throughout

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: They're strong, and make good sidekicks for Harley, but they're not reliable enough to easily exploit. Should play interestingly in the Companion faction once that gets rolling.

Looks good. Thanks! I'm thinking once @L0B5T3R gets his tests in, we should be good if they keep going that direction. Not going to wait endlessly for what may never come with l_m's tests.

I've actually had some surprisingly good luck with Aqualad. I pair him up with Wonder Girl for a 200 point block in Titans builds. For some reason he just rolls well for me more often then not. I lasso someone for -1 defense next to HG, then have Aqualad jump over and smack them. Seems like I get 3+ skulls vs. -1 def. quite a bit. Easy to earn his 60 points when that happens. Although really Wonder Girl is the one that makes it all happen. Curious to see how his bonding works out with Ocean Master in play though.

Game Summary: Luke takes 2 early wounds in round 1 while Lou is destroyed in round 2. He acted as a screen for Harley so he served some purpose. Iron Man gained height and put a wound on Bucky and two on Cap. Two 20s were rolled for initiative in round 3 so Oracle’s XOM and Tactical Surveillance gave them the critical 1st turn. Harley goes down to a Luke/Danny double team with OM2 on her card. After some stagnant brawling, Bucky takes down Luke. Cap’s boosts really help get the most out of Bats and Robin. Later Cap goes down to Iron Man who is the final warrior for his team after Danny is abolished by the Bats/Robin combo. Iron Man is eliminated and Bats mops up Oracle for the win.

Unit Summary: Lou was able to distract for a few turns before dropping. Their attacks did not land.

• Damage Done (Normal Attack): 0 wounds on 1 attack each.
• (Special Attack/other): N/A
• Damage Taken: Lou destroyed by Iron Fist in Round 1.

Game Summary: Poison Ivy gets some quick wounds on Pyro and WC. Harley’s bomb does huge damage wounding 3 on Avalanche and KO’ing Pyro. Avalanche gets some revenge, his Earthquake takes out 2 Animated vines and injures Harley for 2. Poison Ivy takes out Avalanche with a Plant Animation roll and deals another wound Wild Child. Mutants lost turn 3 with the 3OM on Avalanche’s card. Bud and Lou put the final two wounds on Wild Child.

• Damage Done (Normal Attack): 2 wounds to Wild Child (Destroyed)
• (Special Attack/other): 1 shield subtracted from each of Wild Child’s roll with Pack Tactics.
• Damage Taken: N/A

Who won? List of figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Insan-o’s with Bud and Lou, Harley 2/4 Life REMAINING, Poison Ivy 6/6, a single Animated Vine.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: No balance concerns noted. Draftable as a backup if you plan on using Harley in the endgame. Needing an OM reveal on her for their bonding is often an investment since she comes with some good OM managers already in Waller or any other Insane Hero.

The big win in game two was far more Harley’s Bomb than Bud and Lou. The 2 wounds they put on Wild Child resulted in 80 points of damage.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Love em! I’m a sucker for these little types of units. Mysterio Holographs, Animated Vines and now Bud and Lou

Their record is 3-3, with the wins being on par with the losses, results wise.

Them being support units surrounding 1 figure, with potential play in the small Companion Throg synergy, I think we should be good to move forward here.

I propose we move Bud & Lou to Final Editing.

I went with calling them "Bud and Lou" rather than "Bud & Lou", because it reads a little more naturally to me in the text. We can switch to Bud & Lou if you're a big ampersand fan.

Also, you could switch Harley's Babies to call out Harleen Quinzel rather than Harley Quinn - dealer's choice. If we ever did a Doctor Quinzel design or a Lantern Harley, it would keep em compatible.
