Let me put it this way, if we can have examples of him fighting while severely wounded and fighting through pain in a nearly superhuman fashion, you get an immediate yea from me

I guess I don’t personally see him as a 190 character (more of a <150), but I also think LP’s suggested compromises unfairly nerf the design as is. From my experience, 4 Life, 4 Defense, and Battle Hardened just isn’t a viable option, basically leaving the only compromise you’ll accept being to just drop Battle Hardened completely. That doesn’t seem like much of a compromise to me anymore.

T has said since the beginning that he’s not hyper familiar with this character. I don’t think any of us are? So asking for super specific examples just isn’t going to work out, I feel. But I also feel like we have a fairly reasonable conception of this character from all the times I’ve seen him pop up in random places.

I guess I also feel like you’re coming in with this unbudging idea that this draft is exactly equal to Cage in survivability, and a few people have posted reasoning why they don’t think that’s so which has been ignored. I personally believe that he’s going to end up considerably less survivable than Cage, and I also personally believe that our Cage is perhaps on the weaker side of what is thematic for that character.

Don’t feel the Conan comparison is “dramatic” either. Have only played him a handful of times, but he really doesn’t feel that tough. 1 extra life compared to Rock and he still feels only about as tough as Cage.

I don't think Battle Hardened is worth it without 5 Life.

I also don't think this guy needs to be as strong (or expensive) as he's appearing. I'd suggest dropping to 3 defense.

That change would get my yea.

I’m just very against tacking on powers/durability if there’s no thematic basis. If Tornado doesn’t actually know this guy at all I don’t see why we’re even having this discussion? We just need a little research.

I’m also a guy who if I see a single comic panel (that’s in-character) I would justify a power for it. I just haven’t seen it yet.

I do think that clip supports my take on 5 Life/3 Defense. He's never really dodging/blocking much (except maybe a few metal hand slaps), just surviving it.

I think that is LP's point. What is the justification then that he deserves this combo. If no one is familiar with him then why are so many fighting for him to be a 5L Battle Hardened figure.

Is it purely mechanical to get Battle Hardened to work? If so that's not a good argument.


Also T, arguing with LP to prove Conan is worth it is weird since you are the one that brought up Conan. He was just conceding YOUR Conan argument because he has no relevance to this design.
