Theracus Carry and Ladders (I did search first)

Although it has never been used in any of the games we have played...the question itself came to me today during our game.



Since Theracus's "rider" when using carry would be on his back...could he/she dismount onto a ladder rung equal to the height of Theracus' back?

I guess the same would hold true if they dismounted next to elevated terrain also. Correct?

Yes, as long as they're adjacent. So, not as high as Theracus's height, but one level lower. A figure standing at Theracus's height wouldn't be adjacent.

It certainly goes for elevated terrain, so ladders would work as well.

Since Theracus is the height of a battlement the "rider" could also dismount omn the other side of it also correct?

Does it work the same with Brunak?

Cause I always picture it more like being carried under his arm more so than on his back.

The card says it all. The carried figure must be placed "adjacent" to the carrier, as Heroscape defines it. If you do that, you're golden.

Neat, I need some spare gold *dismounts deadly steve from theracus on height, but still adjacent* YAY IM A GOLD BOY NOW Thanks for clearing that up, my 3 story castle (which you might wanna check out in the Custom Maps/scenarios forum Ahem) might get that question when my freind uses his combo of deadly steve and theracus like he always does. (deadly steve = DED)

It isn't Theracus's back (or Brunak's armpit, which you also mentioned) that are important. It is their HEIGHT number, printed on their card after their SIZE category.

It is that number that determines how high a carried figure can be placed: one less than X (X=the carrier's height number) higher than the carrier's base.

When dealing with ladders, this won't exactly apply. Adjacency is handled differently on ladders. See the castle rules, and determine adjacency accordingly. I could not even explain it without looking at the rules. It may or may not differ depending on whether the carrier is occupying the Landing Space or is just adjacent to it.
