I'm sorry but I don't think I'm going to be capable of running the initial in time to get this into the next round of Danger Room testing. I had hoped things would have been better sooner but unfortunately it's not.

Hey, don't worry about it, you've got to heal up. We'll be fine with 3 units for the next round. If you'd like, one of us can try to step up here and run the Initial for you though.

I can see what I can do about knocking out the initial for her. Anything specific you are looking for from the tests? What kind of time line are we working with here? It might not be till next week before I can get them completed.

Heavy hitters should be willing to take a chance at the engagement strike to get in and knock the snot out of her but lower powered heroes and squadies should be scared of the approach.

From a distance should should be ninja/assassin-y and hard to get.

I just want her to feel ruthless and fun but not earthshattering.

170-180 was the range I was thematically aiming for and this was Dysole's gut reaction so it seems like a good starting point.

RUTHLESS SEDUCTION
If an opponent's figure moves adjacent to Cheshire and she is not engaged to any other figures, you may roll the 20-sided die. Subtract 5 from your roll if that figure has the Valiant personality. If you roll 13 or higher, that figure receives one wound and its turn immediately ends. Figures may be targeted only as they move into engagement with Cheshire.

DEADLY POISONS
Whenever Cheshire attacks a Hero with a normal attack or leaving engagement attack and inflicts at least 1 wound, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 1–12, nothing happens. If you roll 13 or higher, add 1 additional wound to the defending figure and roll again for Deadly Poisons.

STEALTH DODGE
When Cheshire rolls defense dice against an attacking figure who is not adjacent, one shield will block all damage.

NAME OF THE TEST UNIT (Cheshire)

- THEME TEST/ Check to see if there are any powers or stats on the test unit card that does not accurately reflect the theme or likeness of what the character would and could do. Also consider destructible objects, and whether or not this characters powers should affect them.
Just a question on Ruthless Seduction, if a figure it thrown next to her do you roll for it? If so I think that would be a theme break. I think the theme works better here if it only occurs when a figure voluntarily moves adj. to her on their turn.

- MIRROR TEST/ Check to see if the unit were played against itself, if there would be any loops that would upset the balance of the Game.

- BONDING TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing Bonding abilities to make sure there are no continual Bonding possibilities that do not stop appropriately or do not stop at all. This is to prevent loops in Bonding.

pass, pretty sure I played the Poison power correctly when dealing with Joker's Laugh It Off power but you can read the report and tell me if I did not. It may need a FAQ though just to make it easy on those who are not sure.

pass.....as long as you are happy with her coming in at a much lower price point. I don't know the character so if you think she should be coming in stronger based on theme then she will need some adjustments.

Hero Tests
- Does it pass, Yes or No? yes/no
- What should be the unit's point value? 130
- Give a brief overview. Cheshire failed to compete at the 160 point level and it didn’t even really feel close. Having only a melee att. leads to her having to engage the enemy and thus negates her own Seduction Power. While Stealth Dodge can be frustrating for a ranged attacker, you are still better off making a ranged att. and forcing her to come to you. Then once engaged, her 4 def./4 life does not hold up all that long and thereby limits her poison potential. I have some ideas for how she could become more formidable should you want to hit that 160-180 point range but for now I continued the hero tests at 130 points. She felt pretty good at 130, I stepped her up to 140 for one test but she didn’t seem to fit there as well. In general terms I think she will be a bit swingy with her effectiveness as a hot streak of d20 rolls will let her take down just about anyone in a single strike but that won’t happen all too often. So some games she will easily do more damage than her points while in others she will just manage a few W and that is it before going down. I could see her losing to some 110-120 point heroes 1 on 1 based on her base stats and general power set, but her assassin synergy and the potential for dealing big poison damage keeps her up at 130 IMO.

TEST 1
Units: Spider-Man (160) vs. Cheshire
.I was thinking that her poison might be a good counter for figures that are hard to score wounds on due to def. powers like Spider Man. Since Spidey has a ranged att. option, he decided to use it to avoid the seduction power and it predictably was stealth dodged. Cheshire moved adj. to him and rolled 3 skulls, which Spidey failed to dodge, then whiffed on def. for a quick 3W, the poison roll failed. Spidey stayed put and hit her for 2W with a normal att. Spidey dodges three att. and gets blocked twice. Then spidey fails to dodge but blocked a 1 skull att., followed up by a 2 skull hit for the win.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Spider-Man w/3W won.
TEST 2
Units: Spider-Man (160) vs. Cheshire
This one didn’t go too well for Cheshire as she never scored a hit. I can see that this is just a real bad match-up for her one on one as Spidey does not have to engage her and avoids one of the ways for her to damage him, then his dodge power only allowed her to score one hit in two games and her poison will be most effective when given multiple attempts at the d20 roll.

TEST 3
Units: Swordsman (160) vs. Cheshire
I had forgotten that Swordsman had a ranged SA, Cheshire had to engage first here again. Even without his ranged att. option, she most likely wanted to engage first anyway to try and get in the first strike before swordplay resulted in her defending against multiple att. The 13+ needed for seduction just isn’t enough of a guarantee to risk giving him the first strike. She scores a 1W hit, but fails to poison him. Swordsman then cuts her to ribbons with his swordplay, dealing 2W, blocked skull, 2W.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Swordsman w/1W won.
TEST 4
Units: Swordsman (160) vs. Cheshire
Swordsman opts to use his SA rather than engage here and it pays off when Cheshire whiffs on def. for a 2W hit, that turns into a 3W hit due to the nature of his SA. Cheshire then engaged and att. only to whiff and die from counter strike.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Swordsman @full health won.
TEST 5
Units: Mocking Bird (130) vs. Cheshire
Mocking Bird uses her ranged att. to keep her distance initially and forces Cheshire to come to her, avoiding the Seduction power. Cheshire complies and when she att. she ends up getting counterstruck for 2W. Mocking Brid then hits her for 1W. Cheshire then gets counterstruck again and gets KOed.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Mocking Bird @full health won.
TEST 6
Units: Mocking Bird (130) vs. Cheshire
Mocking Bird gets in the first att. again, a ranged att. from HG but Stealth Dodge keeps Cheshire from getting hit. Cheshire then moves adj. and lands a 2W hit, which leads to 2 additional W’s from her poison. I should note here that Mocking Bird failed to effectively Mock Cheshire on all of her attempts in both games (only one att. by Cheshire in this one) so Cheshire was rolling all 4 att. dice at all times.

TEST 7
Units:Harley Quinn (130) vs. Cheshire
.HQ stays back and makes sure to throw her bomb before the fight starts, the damage is blocked by Stealth Dodge but the OM removal does go through. However the X was the OM removed so it had no effect on this game. Cheshire now no longer must engage first since HQ has no other ranged att. option so she chooses to jockey for HG and does not engage when she could. HQ bites the bullet and engages first, the Seduction roll fails, and her aggressiveness pays off when she rolls 3 skulls on 3 dice while Cheshire whiffs on def. Cheshire wins initiative and it’s HQ’s turn to whiff on def., leading to a 2W att., 1W plus 1W from poison. They then block each other’s att. for the rest of the round. HQ wins initiative in R3 and scores 1W to end the game.

TEST 8
Units: Harley Quinn (130) vs. Cheshire
HQ again starts off the battle with her bomb and rolls 5 skulls only to see Cheshire Stealth Dodge away from the blast. The OM removal fails outright this time and so her bomb has no effect on the game once again. Cheshire can’t quite reach HQ so HQ engages her again in this one, taking a W from Seduction this time and losing her att. HQ blocks a 4 skull att. with just 1 shield, then scores 1W with an att. They spend the next two rounds blocking each other’s att. (or just missing) when finally in R4 HQ whiffs on def. when Cheshire rolls 3 skulls to end the game.

TEST 9
Units: Joker (140) vs. Cheshire
Joker engages Cheshire, is not seduced, Joker Toxin also fails, Cheshire blocks the att. Cheshire hits Joker for 1W, no poison damage. Joker Toxin fails again but this time Joker deals 1W with his att. Joker wins initiative but again his Toxin fails, he does deal 2W this time with his att. though. Cheshire att. & deals 2W, Joker decides to Laugh it off by placing 1W marker and ending her turn. I did not roll for poison damage here. Again no Joker Toxin, his att. is blocked. Cheshire deals exactly 1W with her next att., then rolls for poison damage and deals 1 more W. Joker Toxin fails yet again, another blocked att. follows. Cheshire misses. Joker wins initiative, finally gets his Joker Toxin to work and it deals the final W to Cheshire to end the game.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Joker w/4W won.
TEST 10
Units: Joker (140) vs. Cheshire
Joker engages Cheshire, Seduction fails, Toxin fails, att. blocked. Cheshire att. and deals 2W, Joker laughs it off by placing 1W and ending her turn. Joker Toxin works on Cheshire, she moves to lower ground while staying adj. to Joker and takes 1W, Joker att. from HG dealing 3W and ending this one early.
