POSSIBLE Long Island, NY Tournament - Any interest?
Herlo.
A few people here on Long Island, who I Scape with (though I'm a relative newcomer), put together a small heroscape tournament every year. Today we were talking about what the setup might be for this year, and with all the recent tournament interest here in the northeast, I suggested there might be more interest in a larger heroscape tournament, because there really seems to be a fair number of people around. So, before we start to plan - I figured it'd be wise to see if there is actually any interest in this, as we're wondering how many we'd have to plan for. Don't be afraid to speak up, you're not committing to anything. Just let me know if you think you might be willing and able to make it, provided you're given enough notice of the date, etc.

from my understanding, Historically it's been mid-june. But I'm thinking July would be optimal, as there are no other major tournaments (that I know about) during that month - (Beantown is june and gencon is august, right?)

I'd be interested in a July weekend tournament, as long as it could be reached by LIRR.

It's probably too far for me. With the Beatdown and Slugfest immediately before it, I won't be desperate enough for some 'scape to persuade myself that a ten hour round trip is a good idea.
Would you be willing to keep track of the results for the NERVs?

Interested... yes. nyys tournament availability after the Beatdown is very much in question. Mrs nyys is 5+ months along, and in late July she'll be closer to 7+, not sure how much farther I can stretch the chain.
