I guess only question with the Toxic wound is also like, is it necessary if no Kryptonian would have Toxic resistance? Or even beyond that, is it an issue then if a Kryptonian character actually does have some resilience to radiation type damage and thus would gain resistance to Kryptonite even if that wouldn't be the case?

Yeah, I thought the same thing. It’s just weird to make it Toxic damage, IMO.

My question really was intended more as a "Is there actual mechanical value to this and the potential implications in the future?" as opposed to "Is this an accurate damage type?"

Like, its not doing Toxic damage to anyone but Kryptonians, and anyone that should be immune to that will be immune to all Kryptonite. So like, only benefit is just for consistency sake, whereas it has the potential cost of preventing Kryptonians from having any sort of radiation resistances.

So, to be clear, you agree it's the accurate damage type? Cuz that's the guiding principle for me. Get the theme correct and trust the interactions will fall into place.

Based on the premise of radiation = toxic, yes. My feelings on those being lumped together are irrelevant at this point. I don't think it is mechanically beneficial here, not a disagreement on the premise of aiming for consistency.

I think letting Lead, Invention items like an anti-Kryptonite suit, and various other things (like the Zatanna write up I posted today) could interact in fun ways with this without in and of themselves becoming as niche as Kryptonite.

Are there any Kryptonians who thematically have Toxic Resistance that we're worried will be ruined if they don't take the wound from Kryptonite but only have the attack and defense reduction?

I don't currently see a mechanical disadvantage here, whereas there are opportunities to be had if we do it, and it's not bad to be thematically consistent just for the sake of that either.
