Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
I just watched The Punisher - 1989 It was pretty good, no worse than the more recent ones, and had a nice 80s action movie feel to it as well. Dolph Lundgren did a good job with the role. I didn't realize that The Punisher had superpowers though, apparently he can make every gun fired at him miss its target.

Big Hero 6 with the family today, I had to explain a few things to them afterwards (like what the heck San Fransokyo is).
"They are too numerous to fight. What shall we do?" "Fight anyway." "You can never defeat another if you know not how to defeat yourself." my tradelist |

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
Saw Edge of Tomorrow, which was pretty cool, followed by Hangover 3, which was better (and funnier) than I thought it'd be after seeing the second one.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
In hindsight, the first Hangover movie [imho] was still the funniest, because every scene was a total surprise and you never knew what was going to happen next. Although both Hangover 2 and Hangover 3 were hilarious in their own right, I think the audience was prepared to know that something totally bizarre was about to happen and because of that the gags had become effete. Personally, I found the overabundance of foul language in #3 to be unnecessary for the plot, characterization, or comedy.

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
One thing I liked about Hangover 3 over Hangover 2 is that the premise hung together a bit better, IMO. It felt like it had more of a clear plot pulling the characters through rather than the characters embracing insanity for insanity's sake.
That one made me laugh a lot. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
Our family enjoyed that one as well a couple of weeks ago.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

We have it recorded on our DVR from when it was on STARZ. I watched with the kids the first time a few months ago and last night my wife joined us to watch it and she liked it too. Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
I have a great family Christmas movie for you.
Millions(2004). PG-13 EDIT: Reading through the boards, there is mention of some minor nudity(I believe a picture, since I do not remember it myself). You may want to preview it first. I do not want any parents mad at me. Great movie though. Ditto to this. Absolutely loved the movie. I'd rate it as the best one I'd seen since the Planet of the Apes sequel last July. |
