Well since it is a great looking, and I'm sure great playing[like all your maps] As soon as you upload the build instructions, I'm going to use it at my Tournmanet on July 12th.I can't wait to play on it though!
 P.S. I don't think most of your builds are hard, just that one. But they are all beautiful,and play well so it's worth ever minute spent to build them!

Hey Chicano. Just played three games on Overlord and it was a great map with battles all over the place.
I'm looking forward to trying Into the Shades. Check out Gulp's Glyphs Not Worth Grabbing and Gulp's Abilities Not Worth Activating! Very Useful Thread: The Heroscape Library "Heroscapers.com is not a charity site for the illiterate." -Gbob

I built Overlord, looks great haven't played it yet but I still think it looks awesome.
It is a rough build though!

ok, this is the first time I looked at this thread, and I saw Source of Volsunga, and I was totally caught off guard. I once built a map almost identical to that, both in map design, and the healing at the spring thing.

Shades fan: It would be cool if you would use the map i tested it and we had a really great game on this one:
 Map is available now (: Click I changed the pdf of Overlord a bit, 4 layers per page, not 6 anymore so it will be easier to build. At least a bit.  The Silver Surfer: hehe what a coincidence. Did you post your map somewhere?

Of all the cartographers on this site, I enjoy your maps the best. They are always fun to play on and beautifully designed. We had a big 1v1v1v1 battle last night on slightly modified Battle Bridge. Next will be some tournament style play on Overlord.

We played two games on Into the Shades last night and it was tournament quality fun. Battles happened in every imaginable place on the board, even a ladder and water battle in the very center.

Hey Chicano. Just remembered something than we ran into while playing last night. By my starting zone I had the smaller ruin, and that allowed me to get to the middle ladder quicker. My opponent had to avoid water and go around a longer way. Not sure how to fix that.
I'd like to see maps using the same ruins since most people probably have an extra map or ruins. I realize that would technically make it require an extra RotV, but maybe if people are concerned enough to play tournament maps then they will go out of their way to get that one extra set of ruins. I don't have a good suggestion. The map is beautiful and still a complete blast to play. Can't wait to see your jungle maps. Small ruins with a small tree next to it works as a decent impromptu large ruin, and it doesn't require another RotV. Perhaps that could be a solution to the big ruin, small ruin balance problem in map design. Because we all know how much of an authority I am on map design!!!

Raudulfr, thx for the big compliment... ! Glad to hear that you like the maps. Please let me know how overlord was, thx.We had some great games on "Into the Shades"   Gulp, cool that you like the map, and you are right, itīs not 100% balanced due to the different size of the ruins in one ms. As i have 2 ms i just took the two small ruins. I changed the pdf a bit, so that the player with the big ruin doesnīt have to go through water anymore then choosing the middle way. I am just using 2 Small ruins at my tournament, my 9 Master Sets should allow that.  Thanks for the map, I got to play one game on it, and must say it is really fun to play on, and it looks great!  Quote:
