The Book of Megatron C3G IDW WAVE 29 CHRISTMAS IN JULY Comic PDF Mini PDF The figure used for this unit is a Walmart Exclusive Transformers Titan Guardians non-transforming figure made by Hasbro *sold in store only*. Its name is MEGATRON. _________________________________________________________________ Character Bio - Megatron is the founder of the Decepticon uprising and their most feared leader. He is extremely cruel, ruthless and cunning as well as incredibly strong and intelligent. Re: The Book of Megatron
NAME = MEGATRON
SPECIES = CYBERTRONIAN UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = CONQUEROR PERSONALITY = DOMINEERING SIZE/HEIGHT = HUGE 15 (DOUBLE-SPACED) LIFE = 8 MOVE = 5 RANGE = 4 ATTACK = 7 DEFENSE = 7 POINTS = 410 COWER BEFORE MEGATRON After moving Megatron, you may choose a figure within 6 clear sight spaces of Megatron that does not have the Valiant personality and has at least one unrevealed Order Marker on its card. Roll the 20-sided die, adding 1 to your roll for each figure you control engaged with a figure in the chosen figure's army, up to a maximum of +5. If you roll 15 or higher, remove one unrevealed Order Marker from the chosen figure's card. P38 HANDGUN TRANSFORMATION Once per round, instead of taking a turn with Megatron, you may attack with a Hero you control within 2 clear sight spaces of Megatron that is not tiny. During that attack, it must use Megatron's Hand Cannon Special Attack and cannot use any other special powers. HAND CANNON SPECIAL ATTACK Range 4. Attack 4, 6, or 10. Start the attack with 10 attack dice. You may attack with 4, 6, or 10 attack dice until all 10 attack dice have been rolled. Megatron cannot attack with this special attack. Re: The Book of Megatron
Pretty happy with were he finally ended up at, the design benefits from having his minions go out and engage the enemy first, then he moves into the fray and starts dominating the battlefield. The Pistol SA lets him use his alternate mode for one big blast (10 dice) or two quick shots off (4 & 6) at reduced power. Same def. & life at Prime. Prime actually bests him in melee combat at 8 vs. 7, but then Megatron has the more powerful gun at 7 vs. 6. Prime can out range him though with Megatron's base range only being 4 v. Prime's 6. I could see that bumping up to range 5 if we felt he needed it but I'm also okay with his huge cannon being really deadly at close range but lacking in distance. Then Prime is immune to his bullying power, but others will fear Megatron and lose their nerve around him. A nice two power card that hits all the theme notes I was going for. I'm heading out of town for a while next Thursday, so I'll try to get the initial done before I leave. I'll be able to still check in and move things along if he's in public testing.

Re: The Book of Megatron
I like it! Should there be any restrictions at all on who can carry the pistol? Like should rats be able to carry it? Ant-Man? Would a Medium or larger restriction make sense?
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Megatron
Good points. Not sure how to designate who has hands and who doesn't, but a medium, large, or huge restriction should be a fairly good qualifier. We still would have someone like Battlecat that would qualify though.

Sure. He could probably do it with his mouth? Lol

Re: The Book of Megatron
Awesome!
For the purposes of the SA, we're saying that Megatron is targeting and attacking, but range, etc. are being measured from the chosen figure, right? Might need to vet that against existing defensive powers to make sure it won't cause anything too funky. I really like the concept, though. |

Re: The Book of Megatron
Yeah. I think it won't be too much trouble to interpret, hopefully. Take Evasive Strike, for instance:

That may be thematically odd, but I think it's mechanically clear. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Megatron
Actually I would have thought since you are measuring range from a figure 4 spaces away, Batman could avoid the att. and deal 1W to Megatron (the actual one doing the attacking) rather then whoever is holding Megatron at the time.
I'd be happy to clarify how it works within the rules with a FAQ once we all agree on how it should work within the rules. |

Re: The Book of Megatron
Wouldn't it be cleaner to just have the other figure do the attacking?
PISTOL TRANSFORMATION SPECIAL ATTACK Range 4. Attack 4, 6, or 10. Instead of attacking with Megatron, choose a friendly figure within 2 clear sight spaces of Megatron. That figure attacks this turn using this special attack. Start the attack with 10 attack dice. You may attack with 4, 6, or 10 attack dice until all 10 attack dice have been rolled. This special attack may only be used if Megatron is not engaged. |

Re: The Book of Megatron
I don't see any issue with doing it that way. Does anyone else?
