Looking to get a comic book subscription for a friend this holiday season. He really likes marvel, I'm thinking either in humans or guardians of the galaxy. Any suggestions?

I would advise against Guardians. I think it's kind of a weak book right now. Bendis hasn't really been doing enough with the core team. The book is just a parade of guest stars. (Iron Man joins the team! Angela joins the team! Captain Marvel joins the team! Venom joins the team! X-Men crossover!)

My favorite Marvel books right now are All-New All-Different Avengers, Astonishing Ant-Man, and Carnage. I'm also planning on checking out Spider-Man (Miles' book) and Spider-Man/Deadpool, but those series won't start for another couple months. I like Howard the Duck, Ms. Marvel, Silk and Deadpool, but I'm not up-to-date on them.

I also hear good things about Thor, Vision, Squirrel Girl, and Doctor Strange.

I've heard that the new Inhumans books (both All-New Inhumans and Uncanny Inhumans) are pretty good, so yeah, between the two you mentioned I'd go with the Inhumans.

Personally, my favorite Marvel books at the moment are Vision, Captain America: Sam Wilson, and Ms. Marvel. For whatever that's worth!

Got in a practice run of this year's game for Gen Con. I will take some pics next time as we are busting out the Heroscape minis for a little ship to ship combat on the high seas.

Fun game. We are introducing some new elements with one being wild magic which was a lot of fun. Good times.

Yes.
Though this one is going to be much different as the entire game will be one long battle, so not a lot of actual role play.
I guess I would compare it to Pathfinder but with lite rules for the minis.
Every aspect of the game is simplified down for ease of play for this one.
This will be our biggest game also, normally we have 6 players, this will be 6 vs. 6 for a total of 12 players. Each side has two Warriors(dwarf, human), an Assassin, Thief, Healer(who also has Wild magic) and an Elven Ranger.

We will also be hosting a more traditional RPG game with 6 players but we have not even started working that one out yet. We just know it will revolve around a poker/BlackJack game.

I checked out Supergirl and Martian Manhunter did look pretty great there at the end. Well done CG. Can't say I really find the show all that captivating though. I much prefer to watch AoS, Flash, DD, JJ, & Agent Carter when if comes to superhero tv shows.

I just noticed I had 7 episodes in the DVR as I had forgotten about Supergirl and had planned on coming on and asking if it was worth watching. We typically wait out the first year to see if a new show gets cut or renewed and then watch it over the summer prior to season 2.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those.

The first episode was both great and terrible at the same time. I had a lot of issues with quite a few of the characters.
Their approach is apparently to show you all sorts of negative aspects of characters to make you dislike them. Then they show you why they act like that, to make you feel bad and sympathize with them.
At this point I actually like pretty much all the characters I could not stand in the beginning. It is worth watching the series for Red Tornado alone but I may be biased towards Tornadoes.

I believe as long as they're DOs with printed sizes, then they're treated the same as figures for powers like that.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
