Re: The Book of Phoenix Force
How are you guys basing this figure. Are you taking it off the grey base or just gluing that onto a peanut base?

Re: The Book of Phoenix Force
I took it off the gray base, sanded it flat, and then set it on the board without a base at all. Also, it's single space, not a peanut base.

Re: The Book of Phoenix Force
Sounds good. I wasn't sure since there isn't a picture based and it is quite large. Thanks!

Re: The Book of Phoenix Force
Any tips for getting it off? I was trying to pull on it but the model is going to break before it comes free.

Re: The Book of Phoenix Force
I've in the past used a candle to keep heating up my blade and slowly work my way through stubborn minis.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: The Book of Phoenix Force
I got mine off the grey thing by running an Xacto Knife around the edges, heating the point of contact between the two plastics with a heat gun, and then pulling the thing apart with my super robot strength.
May or may not be a viable method for meatbags. I advise caution when doing so though either way, when I did mine it popped off so fast and hard that it hit me in the chest and knocked me out. Still have the marks from the pointy wing bits. Re: The Book of Phoenix Force
Mine is still on the base. I bought it from CoolStuffGames just so I could get my own mini pics for the card. I don't have any HeroScape stuff in my apartment except my Phoenix Force figure and Stan Lee figure.

Re: The Book of Phoenix Force
I tried and mine popped right off. Then I popped it back in. Should be an easy rebase.
Have you all shaved yours down to make it even or just glued it to a base? C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Phoenix Force
I'm sort of confused. I'm reading this card and all I can think is, "why didn't we just call the second power Phoenix Fire 2 instead of creating a third power that basically makes Phoenix Fire = Phoenix Fire 2?"
Am I not understanding the power here? Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |
