What do you think they should do with Aquilla?

Seeing how they are far behind in terms of numbers, do you think they should spam them out to catch up, or just release them at a normal rate?

I personally think they should release them at a normal rate, if they were to relase a bunch of them at one go it would take away the mysterious factor that piques my intrest in Aquilla.

I'd like to see enough units in the next couple of releases to sort of define Aquilla's theme, then maybe back off a bit and keep the generals sort of even.

I don't think she's doing too bad so far. I mean, she's getting a huge figure as her second/third unit. She's way ahead of where Einar was, and even gets a huge figure earlier in her general-hood than anyone but Utgar. And even then, she would have, but the GenCon piece was hers.

Also, what planet does everyone thing Sujoah and the spiders are from? The spiders come with a terrain set, and thus far, everything that's come in a terrain set with terrain specific abilities has been from Valhalla, but the Dumutef guard is from Feylund. Neither the spiders or Sujoah really look like anything we've seen before, and that seems indicative of Feylund, since it's kind of the catch all.

I'd say they might be from a completly different planet, as it would add to their "foreigness".

Look at the Swarm of the Marro story line and you should get a good idea how what Aquilla's troops are.

Basically they are a small band of jungle fighters / creatures that help to defeat Utgar along side the other generals. She's not going to get a large force like all the others.

Personally I think we need to back off on Utgar units and fill out everyone else.

I actually like the idea of a small force jumping into the story every now and then. It would give an interesting twist to the game. I still feel the original five generals should be in the forefront though - both in story and units ("must have" units only in Jandar, Ullar, Einar, Vydar, or Utgar).

Definitely. I hope Wave 9 has some Vydar love in it. Aside from a Master Set unit (Major Q10), Vydar hasn't seen any new units since Nakita Agents and Blastatrons in Wave 5, well over a year ago.

Maybe all unique units? Aquilla could be just about all about support squads and Heroes. I'd dig that. that way she can get a well versed army without having to match numbers.

I'd sooner limit her theme than her numbers. I like buying up commons of everything, and if she does eventually get a kyrie squad, I'd like it to follow the pattern of the others (common squad with its own, unique hero). I would rather she stick to troops that all serve her ~jungle theme (I'd say Woo counts- monks are reclusive). In fact, I would actually prefer if they released fewer Aquilla cards, but made many of them common foot-soldier types. "Bugs" and "Jungle warriors" are fairly broad categories, there's a lot of very cohesive army building that could be done for Aquilla without her becoming boring. Just my opinion.

I think there's a chance the Wolves will fight for Aquilla. There are a couple of things that lead me to think this is a possibility.

Aquilla, with only one card released in it's final version, already has a history of cross-general synergy.

WOTCpb did not reveal the whole card, which makes me think we haven't seen all the suprises this unit has in store. The wolves fighting for Aquilla would be a big deal to most of us here and definatly spark some discussion, perhaps as much as the special powers have.

Perhaps Aquilla will be a smaller general than the others, but make up for it by being able to use figures from other armies. If so, there will probably be some plot development that explains this. Maybe Aquilla found some of those mind control amulets, or she's sleeping with all the other generals so she can borrow their units.
