CJ's Supers: Updated 8/22/2016, DC Master Set

This is my supers thread! Superheroes are how I got into scape, and still one of my favorite ways to play, so I really enjoy making more since uh, we didn't get more.

I've tried to make my heroes compatible with C3G as well, they may not synergize perfectly, but you can take any army of my Super customs and should be able to battle it against a C3G army without too much friction.

Any and all feedback is appreciated, considered, and made note of.

Misc. Supers

Spoiler Alert!

Avalanche, Dominikos Petrakis. One of the more destructive mutants, I wanted to capture that aspect of Avalanche without making him overpowered. In the world of supers, he isn't too much. Put him in classic and he becomes the new meta, so be careful with this guy. On that note, if your opponent has a bunch of weaker heroes, they will not appreciate your exploitation. DC Master Set: The Conflict Continues!

For my DC Master Set I wanted to follow the style of the official Marvel set, but with my own twist (comic art rather than figure, tokens, etc.). I went for a lunchbox design for most of the characters, like the official Marvel set.

Batman
Design Notes:

Batman:
At first Batman had 4 attack as that is a more human level of strength, but I bumped it up because he died too quick, and maybe I'm biased since Batman is my favorite superhero but hey, I do what I can. The rest of his stats should be pretty self-explanatory and so should Grapnel and Batarang. Strategic Genius maybe not so much, while it might seem to make him more predictable, I find it thematic in the sense that no matter what, Batman will always do the right thing, even if it might look predictable at first. Despite how dark the situation, how many odds are stacked against him, Batman always has an answer, and that's how I wanted this custom to feel, a general "lunchbox" Batman with all of the classic elements: Always does right despite how gritty things get, strong, smart, but not all-powerful.

Superman

For this one, I made a lunchbox Superman. At least, this is how I view him. Rather than forcing him to protect humans like most other customs, I gave him the ability to not intervene. This gives him more options, while in my home games nearly no one uses this power, it would be beneficial for cheerleader figures and what not. I do think that perhaps he should HAVE to protect nearby figures, but I didn't want to go the route of most other customs out there.

Wonder Woman

This isn't Wonder Warrior Woman, this is do-gooder bruiser Wonder Woman. No sword and shield, just fists and Lasso. Her Lasso power allows her to see order markers if she gets a successful attack on an opponent, I'm not entirely sure how thematic this is, but it seemed like the right thing to do. Her bracelet power is like the Krav Maga's, but with her higher defense, and on account of her having 2 bracelets, how was I not to make that power?

The Flash

For this one, I went with a more "zoom in, zoom out" character, I think it captures the basic feel of Flash pretty well.

Green Lantern
Design Notes:

This guy was actually kind of hard to think up a good basic idea for, eventually I came up with a total mess... his shield power was broken and difficult to read and convoluted, but I finally came up with the token management idea,
and made his shield a gamble. GL is capable of handling any situation, assuming he has enough energy.

The Joker

Joker, oh boy. I wanted to do something original and wacky with him, I think I pulled it off well. Although I think his secret bomb power would work better on a more mind-game centered villain, I feel like it works well on Joker.
I wanted to emulate those times where Joker makes an impossible situation. (like that whole boat scenario in The Dark Knight movie) I hope I did Joker justice.

Doomsday

I didn't want to make Doomsday invincible, but I wanted him to be very powerful, obviously it's not a good idea to make him always come back to life after every death, so I gave him the ability to get more difficult as time goes on.

Ares
(According to the index of custom created superheros, I'm the first one to make this guy!)

Now obviously, as I was the first to make him, even before C3G
got to him, I didn't have a lot to go on. So I built him around this phrase. "Where there is Ares, there is War. Where there is War, there is Ares." And since Ares always comes back to life with every death, I tried to translate this into HS, did I do well? I personally think i could have done much better, and that Ares is quite possibly very broken,
but eh, lack of feedback does that.

Captain Cold

The premise of Captain Cold was his Cold Field, I built him around that power, I wanted him to be difficult to touch by melee attackers, and to be an anti-speed character, pretty much an anti-Flash, yet Flash is a great counter to him.

Sinestro
Design Notes:

Sinestro, like Green Lantern, was a thorn in my side to get balanced and come up with solid token management and power balancing, at first he take extra turns with figures, which was completely broken, and couldn't regenerate his Parallax tokens, but started with all his tokens available.
