Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!
Hasbro did give the HeroQuest backers the last two tiers, even though the goals were not met. They did not have to do that, but they did anyway and it was awesome.
I am a backer for the Ghost Rider car, but I am having mixed feelings about it. It is expensive, but if it came with all the extra stretch goals, it wouldn't be as bad. If it does not reach those unlocks, I will seriously consider backing out. Edit: They revealed one of the reach goals today, unlocked at 12,000 backers. Its a figure that has never been done in Marvel Legends before and a lot of people have been wanting. Backers did jump up a few hundred, but its just over 4,500 now, half the minimum goal of 9,000 to reach production. Last edited by Hogg; September 20th, 2022 at 07:08 PM. |

Meanwhile, EJ-1M excellently encapsulates the kind of zany genre-mixing antics expected from this game. First we have a katana-wielding WWII soldier, then a lizard-armed Viking, and now a robot pirate gunslinger. I also appreciate the continuation of the Vydar's "Rank Letter-Number" Soulborg nomenclature. Quote:
I'm more interested in the Burrowbreaker, though, as it's a Unique Hero described in plural and named by its species and job. I'm guessing that this is a mislabeled Common Hero, a new take on Uncommon Heroes, or a literal "whack-a-mole" uses a single figure to represent an entire team of sequentially appearing Vorids. |

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!
My guess is that the Vorid hero doesn't actually have a unique name yet, and that's just a placeholder.

I actually wouldn't mind if the Vorid Burrowbreaker had that as its name as a unique hero. There's already precedent for generic names for unique heroes, a la Venoc Warlord (and the Marro Hive, if we want to include that). |

I didn’t say anything about that.
All names are subject to change, I suppose, though some may not. |

I really love seeing all the old timers chatting it up on Heroscapers after all these years.
