We were in the process of just calling it Dwarf Gunners, which would have been away around the rule.

I'm just curious if there was this discussion with the C3V team as well. I don't mean to be bothersome, I'm just not aware of other figures who can do a normal attack and special attack on the same turn.

Our simple fix was not to name it a "special attack" as a way around the rule. It is all just semantics anyways, but one in our group had a hard time getting past the RotV rule book.

Thanks for the great work the C3V team does - we are big supporters of continuing Heroscape through your efforts and sanction all C3V units in our tournaments and game days.

We considered everything you (and your friend) said very carefully. We were aware we were breaking new ground, but I am satisfied we did so in a way that is canonic and (most important) fun.

As D_S said, yes, we had quite a lively discussion on this topic. In the end, we asked the opinion of some folks on the Rules Team from the old days and there was concensus that this was not violating any fundamental principle of Heroscape. Just to let you know we do consider these types of issues very carefully.

Playing Mok against an all melee army is a very different experience from playing against a range army. Against melee he's getting 3 attacks every turn but also is limited to the survivability of his life and defense.

In the games I have played with him, if he had a screen of dwarves and he was fully stocked with gunners, he dominated melee armies.

First two turn markers go on the Dwarves so that I can equip Mok with gunners and start getting a melee screen. Third turn marker goes on Mok who can usually start taking shots at incomming units.

Drones X3
Su-Bak-Na

pretty easily with this army even though Su-Bak-Na almost took out Mok.

This Mok army may be what I take to NHSD next year.

Just played an HoSS playtest against this guy by myself and he went down quickly to Quahon. He took 4 wounds after a 5 skull attack from Quahon. Then landed a few wounds on him before going down with 2 Dwarves on his back. Still had fun! This guy has become a favorite of mine. Again, thanks C3V for putting out great units like Mok.

Forgive the newbie question, but I'm pretty new at rebasing. Should I drill a hole in the base for the peg coming out of Mok's foot? Or saw the peg off?

I cut it off. These instructions have some very useful advice, and this one suggests not cutting it off, but drilling.

I'm sure it works either way, but I drilled the hole. To me, it makes a more solid connection.

For mine, I cut off the peg and glued him to the base, after removing some of the base sticker where his feet were placed.

I sanded off the peg and left him baseless. He's remarkably well balanced.

I clipped off the peg with a shear-like tool (scissors would work also) and glued it to the base.
