Yep, testing your own designs is super helpful. Makes it a lot easier to lead a design, IMO. Heroes of Star Wars 'Scape (HoSS), C3G 'Scape (superheroes & comic books!), My C3G Points, My Customs |

Re: C3G Playtesting Sign-Ups – 1000th Design Giveaway!
When you are making armies to playtest, do they need to follow a certain pattern, or can you just make them up randomly with whatever level of synergy you want? We have a Synergy Archive thread that can help with that but many of us are willing to help as well.

Re: C3G Playtesting Sign-Ups – 1000th Design Giveaway!
We are trying to get a handle on their average, best use price during testing. As such we would like to see the units tested in and against armies that are solidly good as much as possible. So try to break the design if you can and tell us how it worked out for you. How to achieve that varies greatly from unit to unit. Some new units are synergy heavy, others are more stand alone units. Some want stat boosters, others rely on special powers to be effective instead of relying on raw stats. Part of the benefit of having many different testers give it a go is that players can approach the same unit in very different ways. Different play styles, tactics, favorite units, and experience level with some factions can all shape how one player might go about trying to break the design.
The synergy archive is for sure a good place to start if you are not sure how to approach a design. Take a look and see if the design has any species, class, or personality interactions that could be exploited and then try to build an army to do just that. If not and the species/class/personality are all fairly unique, then consider a GotG style of build. Star Lord, Rocket II, Baby Groot, & Mantis all can build armies around the use of odd ball species, class, and/or personality. Then there are non-direct synergy ways to build an army. Figures with double ranged attacks love attack boosters, as do some other the attack powers. Some defense powers get stronger by rolling more defense dice, so look for defense boosters to pair them up with. Some designs can benefit greatly from being moved around by someone else (Cyborg is an example of this, his SA is much stronger if he didn't move on his turn so have someone carry him up into place or give him a free move during another players turn). Hope that helps! |

I could team with you on that, Karat, so long as we don’t start until tomorrow night lol
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
