Re: The Book of Bizarro - Designing
Yeah, I've gotten some of my best pictures (Darkseid) shooting at a window.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Bizarro - Designing
I haven't tried the window trick unless it was 20 below zero outside. I draw the line at 20 degrees above zero when I'll go out onto the deck to take pictures.
That might work for you Griff, or maybe outside when the sun is lower in the sky and less intense. Some minis are just more of a pain in the butt than others, that's for sure. Re: The Book of Bizarro - Designing
Well, Tickle's version seems to be the most opposite of Heroic Duty because a) it has the ability to wound your own figures (which Griff's also has), and b) it deals with adjacent attacks more whereas Heroic Duty goes into effect vs. Non-adjacent attacks.
That being said. I think I prefer them in this order. Griff's Tickle's, Bat's. Semi-Retired C3G Hero (and first Official Member of the C3G Target Audience!) The correct way to add C3G playtests to posts. My favorite day EVER on heroscapers. DISCLAIMER: C3G claims no ownership of the characters or artwork used for C3G customs. Re: The Book of Bizarro - Designing
I have always said the best lighting for these guys is when the sunlight is coming through a window & a white background. (Preferably without any artificial lighting.)

Re: The Book of Bizarro - Designing
OK. Griff's writeup wins. I am editing the OP now, but it will be a while before I get to the playtest. I have an obligation to MM for example, and there is a lot of stuff in the public as well.

No love for my elegant touches. No worries, what we have here is still solid.

Re: The Book of Bizarro - Designing
C3G INITIAL PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM
NAME OF THE TEST UNIT Bizarro - THEME TEST/ Check to see if there are any powers or stats on the test unit card that does not accurately reflect the theme or likeness of what the character would and could do. Also consider destructible objects, and whether or not this characters powers should affect them. Pass - MIRROR TEST/ Check to see if the unit were played against itself, if there would be any loops that would upset the balance of the Game. Pass - BONDING TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing Bonding abilities to make sure there are no continual Bonding possibilities that do not stop appropriately or do not stop at all. This is to prevent loops in Bonding. Pass - SYNERGIES TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing synergies to make sure there are no factors that could break the game by making any unit too powerful or too weak. Pass - POWER CHECK/ Consider the test unit and all existing units and all glyphs to compare to and check for any powers that could be over amplified and break the game. Each power must define when it takes place, who or what it affects, and What are the stipulations on the power if there are any. Pass - FUN TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play. Pass - FUN COMPETITIVE TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play against. Pass - DRAFTING TEST/ Consider whether or not this design is worth drafting. Pass - USAGE TEST/ Consider whether or not all of the powers on this card were used or at least usable. Pass - STRATEGY TEST/ Consider whether or not the design offers any real strategy or interesting tactics to the overall game. Pass Heavy Hitter or Mid-Level Hero Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes. - What should be the unit's point value? I feel very comfortable at 320. - Give a brief overview. He isn't the strongest guy, but his defense and life numbers are real nice, and his Freeze Vision is a good way to help out his attack of 6, or even just add insult to injury with his Heat Breath.
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Squad Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes. - What should be the unit's point value? 320. - Give a brief overview. He had everything he needed to win, and he was doing well, but he whiffed on his last defense roll. Map: Custom. Units: Bizarro - VS - SHIELD Agents x3.
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Squad Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes. - What should be the unit's point value? 320 probably still works, but I hate that he got owned here. - Give a brief overview. He really couldn't ever pull off an area affect with his Heat Breath because of being surrounded by only two on either side and they fanned out early and kept him engaged with just those two. I do really like using his Freeze Vision though, it is great at what it does and it is fun to hope that it hits. Map: Custom. Units: Bizarro - VS - Parademons x4.
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Army Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes. - What should be the unit's point value? 320. - Give a brief overview. He was fun, and he did a good job, but he did feel a bit outclassed by his ally Darkseid. This made it difficult to give him Order Markers. Map: Custom. Units: Bizarro, Darkseid, and Timber Wolf - VS - Superman, Supergirl, and Superboy.
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Army Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes. - What should be the unit's point value? 310. - Give a brief overview. I felt that Villainous Duty is a great power that is more useful than Heroic Duty, but it is also a double edged sword as well, in that it can be a detriment. Freeze Vision is obviously useful and fun when hoping that it will hit. Heat Breath is cool, but mostly gonna be used against squads or clusters, so not that useful all the time, but a darn good tool to keep in the tool box. Map: Custom. Units: Bizarro, Zoom, and Deathstroke - VS - Iron Man (Stealth Suit), Silver Surfer, and War Machine.
Spoiler Alert!
