Winners: Colossus with 3 wounds. Thoughts on the tested unit’s cost, balance, & draftability: She felt pretty strong in a F4 lineup as a backup leader and attacker, especially when combined with D.Va as a DM bot, and Invisible Woman’s defense buffs. The various changes after the first 2 games felt necessary to me, and bonding with Protectors feels like a fun niche for her and pulls some fun units to build with, such as Colossus. She can be tricky to take down consistently, and almost requires D.Va as back up to protect her. That said, if she gets too aggressive she can be taken down really quickly due to her low life, even with Recall. Her bonding is solid though, and being able to move a Overwatch character is really helpful. Although D.Va is the only one so far, she’s a strong candidate for it. Tracer also makes a decent assassin, easily able to close gaps and pick who she fights. An additional change I have thought of is either +1 Life, or providing a 1 wound heal on her recall. It tracks with how her power works, she removes any damage she took in the last 3 seconds. Whilst I don’t want to tack any more tracking onto her, a simple 1 wound heal would really help her out a bit, as wounds here and there really sting for her. Overall, very fun though and pretty good at 170 (180 if we add the heal onto her recall), breathes some new life into Protectors. Something I wanted to pull off with this synergy but never managed to was fastballing her (which fun fact, Winston actually has done with her before), and then moving her further into an enemy backline. |

Re: The Book of Tracer - Initial Playtesting
This is what I'm thinking after testing. Changes are highlighted in blue. Another potential change would be for her to choose a Protector at the start of the game and give them an Overwatch special power, but she's not really the recruited anyone to Overwatch to my knowledge (unless we want to include her working with Lúcio briefly in one trailer). Doesn't seem all that necessary though.

Re: The Book of Tracer - Initial Playtesting
Yeah she has some good options there. Also has Nightcrawler (II), Colossus, Falcon, Atom Eve, Shadowcat, Avengers Vision. Lots of fun stuff to mix in.

Re: The Book of Tracer - Initial Playtesting
If there's no opposition, I'll update the SP to the design above and propose we vote for public playtesting!

Re: The Book of Tracer - VOTE for Public Playtesting
I haven't been following this design closely but I'm concerned about the 3rd power's memory mechanic. Personally I'm never going to remember where it started at the beginning of the round without some type of marker on the board. Could you just move it a set number of spaces and be done with it and not worry about where it actually started from?
The 2nd power also reads very clunky to me as well. We are calling the power Chronal Dexterity but then we are also coming up with another term/power called "Blink" within that power that we are then defining. That seems very odd to me. I know it's been workshopped a bit but it doesn't flow to me at all. I had to read it like 5 times to try to understand what was going on. |

Re: The Book of Tracer - VOTE for Public Playtesting
The intention is there will be an optional marker for the 3rd power, like Demona has. It originally referenced the marker, but there was interaction concerns regarding it. This was the best way we came up with representing one of her signature abilities, as it's a short 3 second rewind on herself.
We could give her a dodge instead (which has already been brought up a couple of times over the last couple of months), but doesn't really capture her rewind mechanic. What would you prefer we do with the second power then? Rename it or redo it? The ability it's partially representing is her blinking around quickly. And we already have characters like Star Sapphire with Power of Love that introduce Violet Battery Markers. |

Could a Temporal Displacement Glyph work as a memory holder?

Re: The Book of Tracer - VOTE for Public Playtesting
CHRONAL RECALL
At the start of the round, you may place a Glyph of Temporal Displacement from this card on the space Tracer currently occupies. Once per round, if Tracer would receive one or more wounds, you may ignore those wounds, remove up to 1 Wound Marker from this card, and place Tracer on any empty space within 3 spaces of the Glyph of Temporal Displacement placed by Chronal Recall. At the end of the round, place that Glyph of Temporal Displacement on this card. |
