No, since that ladder rung should be the same height as the space. Variances in map building or placement of the ladder could cause it not to line up correctly but it should be considered the same level as the walkway.

No.
That said, if you can't get an answer soon enough, just go the "roll off" route like the rulebook says. Take turns rolling a d20, and whoever rolls higher wins the debate. .:: .H3X.™ | aka, PushesPixels :: SotW 31 ::. "An out of print game is not unplayable. It is simply more treasured." |

Yeah i'm not sure I agree. I mean, ladder rungs are two levels high. And the way it lines up, if you build a thing that is 9 levels tall, you need 10 levels of ladder (5 pieces). In this case, the ladder figure is higher than the ground figure.
If you build something 10 levels tall, you will also use 10 levels of ladder (5 pieces). In this case, the ladder figure's base will technically BE lower. SOOOOOOO.... are we saying in example one, ladder gets height and in example two they are considered even? Looking for a way to get casual players involved in Heroscape? Do your opponents lack the interest or knowledge to build/draft their own armies? If so, check out Project 500! |

Well, from the picture it appears to be a standard built castle wall which from the base to the upper platform is 11 levels high. It takes 6 ladder pieces to create a ladder that will reach the upper platform. The base clips (rungs) on each ladder piece fall almost in the middle of the ladder piece. If lined up correctly and place correctly on the map the top rung will be level with the upper platform. I added the sentence above about variances since the bottom ladder piece might not be placed properly in the gutter portion of the hex or the ladder may not be exactly lined up but that shouldn't constitute a bonus.

well, that particular ladder was i believe only 5 levels high, as it is going from level 12 to level 21, so it had to over lap it by a bit. When looking at it, it looks like the bases or on the same level, so we would have played it that no one has HA anyways.
