Hester's Ruin (1/10/11)
This map looks really good built, I think, but I'm having trouble figuring out which (and how many) monsters to populate it with. And what's a good number of points for heroes, too, while we're asking? I was thinking Shades in the Fortress towers, and Wolves on the stairs... Maybe Zombies in the Forest, etc. Any help?
The scenario is pretty straightforwards: A haunted castle, a hidden treasure vault, a secret entrance in the forest... Re: Hester's Ruin (1/10/11)
I added a Room Overlay to the original file, along with some ladders and tweaks based on the build. This weekend I'm hoping to playtest a bit using the following setup: Blue Zone - Player 1 may place 500 points worth of figures in the 7 Blue starting spaces. These may be heroes or squads. Squad figures will not roll for Second Wind after clearing each room. Cyan Room - Player 2 begins by placing two Feral Trolls, and Wo-Sa-Ga arranged around the castle wall. Yellow Room - Player 2 begins by placing three Zombies of Morindan adjacent to any Pine Tree. At the end of every round, Player 2 rolls one attack dice and places one Zombie of Morindan adjacent to any Pine Tree if a skull rolled. Spawning continues as long as a Zombie of Morindan is in play at the end of the round. Purple Room - Player 2 begins by placing two Wyverns and six Fyorlag Spiders anywhere in the room, as long as no figure is placed adjacent to another. Orange Room - Player 2 begins by placing Othkurik the Black Dragon adjacent to the large outcrop, and six Greenscale Warriors anywhere in the room. Behind the Castle Door, place three Brandar’s Chest Treasure Glyphs. Green Room - Player 2 begins by placing three Shades of Bleakewoode on the Castle Wall, and placingsix6 Wolves of Badru and Khosumet the Darklord on the castle grounds and stairs as desired. The Shades can only move along the walls and ladders. After defeating each room, Player 1 will receive one random, non-Brandar’s Chest Treasure Glyph to place on any hero of his or her choice. After writing it all out, that seems like a lot of bad guys...
