_________________________________________________________________ Character Bio - Vampirella’s past is shrouded in mystery. Originally thought to be from a far off planet called Drakulon, more recently it’s believed that Drakulon is a forgotten corner of hell, and she’s descended from Lilith, the first wife of Adam and the mother of all dark creatures. No matter where she came from, she finds herself on earth as the protector of mankind. While not technically a vampire, she embodies many of their characteristics, such as strength, speed, shapeshifting, and mesmerism. She’s a hunter at heart, and tracks and destroys supernatural threats to humanity. Having found herself unwittingly in the employ of the Danse Macabre, a militaristic agency that deals in supernatural threats, she is able to combat bigger threats and coordinate with the Macabre’s agents. Her successes don’t escape the looming eyes of the dark chaos lords, however, who send a relentless warlord, Mistress Nyx, to systematically kill all of Vampirella’s friends and allies, and eventually execute Vampirella herself. But of course, when dealing with the supernatural, death is never as final as it seems. _________________________________________________________________ -Rulings and Clarifications-

Re: The Book of Vampirella (Breathing)
NAME = VAMPIRELLA
SPECIES = VAMPIRI UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = SLAYER PERSONALITY = VENGEFUL SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5 LIFE = 7 MOVE = 6 RANGE = 1 ATTACK = 6 DEFENSE = 5 POINTS = 320 FURY OF DRAKULON Instead of attacking, you may choose an opponent's figure adjacent to Vampirella. Roll X unblockable attack dice against the chosen figure, where X is equal to half the number of Wound Markers on the card of Vampirella or a friendly figure within 4 clear sight spaces of Vampirella, rounded down, to a maximum of 3 dice. If the chosen figure is destroyed, remove one Wound Marker from this card and add 1 to Vampirella's Attack number for the rest of the round. VAMPIRIC MESMERISM Before an adjacent opponent’s figure would take a turn, you may remove an unrevealed Order Marker from this card and roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 9 or higher, that figure’s turn immediately ends. Take temporary control of the chosen figure and move it up to 4 spaces. EVASIVE FLYING When Vampirella starts to fly, she will not take any leaving engagement attacks. When Vampirella rolls defense dice against an attack from a non-adjacent figure without the Flying or Stealth Flying special power, 1 shield will block all damage, and you may immediately move Vampirella one space for each shield rolled. Re: The Book of Vampirella (Breathing)
I'd probably put her around 340 as an initial stab at it.
First power feels like it needs some work still. It's a bit open-ended. Is it intended to work off of Vampirella's attack? Right now the way it's worded, it works off any attack, which means I'm wounding her myself early, pairing her with like a 12 range figure and just demoralizing my enemy with unblockables. The last line of the first power feels really tacked on right now, both thematically and mechanically. That feeling is lessened if the intent is for the unblockables to only trigger off of her attack. The Mesmerism power is potentially pretty strong, but the Order Marker requirement reels it back in. Obviously a really solid pairing with anyone who puts Order Markers back or gives extra ones (Ozy). C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Vampirella (Breathing)
Yeah that's supposed to be her attack. Always forget you need to specify for some reason. It's a minor riff off of powers like Thing and Starfire. And she likes to bite necks to finish someone, hence the extra die and the healing. Could mix it up or separate to 4 powers, but I don't generally like 4 powers.
I don't mind upping the roll on the mesmerism if need be. Kind of a random number right not. When I get back to Tiva she'll help Vampi as well. This might read a bit cleaner and sell the healing theme better: Quote:

Still need to specify you’re rolling for her.

Re: The Book of Vampirella (Breathing)
Still not really happy using a figure that only vaguely resembles the character here.
Power-wise, it seems to hit the basic "vampire but good-ish" tropes, so can't really complain there. I've only read a smattering so I can't speak to power level appropriateness. A shame she doesn't actually have any vampire synergy, though. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The Book of Vampirella (Breathing)
I’m shooting for around 300 power level wise. Give or take whatever.
The mini I have perfectly represents the alt art I posted, for what it’s worth. Otherwise someone else can paint up a figure if it’s a huge problem, but back when I asked I think everyone was good with this mini. Trying to think if there’s a way to combo her first power with mesmerism a bit. I’m open to some big changes in the first power, so if anyone has suggestions to synergies her powers a bit better I’m open. I just want to show her ruthlessness and protectiveness. |

Re: The Book of Vampirella (Breathing)
I’d love some more eyes here! Her two defense powers combo well together, so wondering if anyone had ideas to synergies her offense power with them! I’m open to retooling it quite a bit if it’s be more fun!
