Re: The Book of Emil Hamilton (Vote for Public Testing)
I'm surprised you didn't get more out of the Countermeasures. It'd definitely be great against annoying defensive figures (Blob, Spider-Man, Daredevil (II), etc.).
Yea for testing. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Emil Hamilton (Vote for Public Testing)
Probably could have played him against a few more of those. It was definitely nice when it came into play (like Raven). Ivy was probably the better choice in the third game vs someone like Batroc as it would've given some nice opened up mobility. That kind of play is probably the one to keep a bit more an eye on, especially when Steel comes along and is able to give disengage.

Re: The Book of Emil Hamilton (Vote for Public Testing)
Looks like Ronin had some updated wording a few posts back.

Re: The Book of Emil Hamilton (Vote for Public Testing)
Wording updated (though we got rid of the die roll since that phrasing, if anyone wants to double check that the way I put it works for that fine).
This passes. |

Re: The Book of Emil Hamilton (Public Testing)
Tests from FreshFoods. Thinking of at least limiting him to only negating one power during the round rather than all powers so he's not too overly punishing to folks with multiple defensive powers (like making Invisible Woman suddenly hittable at range with her 0 defense, or Blob losing both lockdown and his extra defense). Would rather go that or just reducing to a single turn (maybe making it negate all until you next reveal on OM, giving some opponent's turn oomph as well) than upping his cost, as I like him filling in the 60 point gap, and don't think he can really make it all the way to 90.

Re: The Book of Emil Hamilton (Breathing)
I'm thinking one of these two ways for a change to Countermeasures:

Re: The Book of Emil Hamilton (Public Testing)
Seems like no particularly strong opinions here, so I think I'll have the next tester give the second one a try. Makes him a little less of a "defensive unit" counter and more able to be a tad general use while limiting overall impact to a degree.

Re: The Book of Emil Hamilton (Public Testing)
Yeah, I just don't have the experience with him to say.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

C3G STANDARD PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM
NAME OF THE PLAYTEST UNIT: EMIL HAMILTON VERSION TESTED
Spoiler Alert!
Army Test Map: Ivy’s Greenhouse Units: Emil Hamilton (60) (Anti-Kryptonite Suit/Kryptonian Visor), Superboy (II) (240), Guardian (150), Hawkgirl (JL) (240), Green Arrow (JL) (210) (900) vs Cyclops (Utopian) (240), Blob (165), Cable (275), Storm (220) (900)
Spoiler Alert!
___________________________________________________________ Army TestMap: Grundy’s Grave Units: Emil Hamilton (60) (Shield Belt/Anti-Grav Gauntlet), Doctor Fate (JL) (370), Superman (I) (400), Aztek (170) (1000) vs Fantastic Four
Spoiler Alert!
___________________________________________________________ He feels pretty balanced as is to me. Lots of options with all the glyphs, of course, so I'm not sure I maximized those, but he had an impact in each game without feeling overpowering. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Emil Hamilton (Public Testing)
Feel pretty good about him. He probably feels a hair under if you don't bring any bonding, and pretty dead on when you do as it helps make sure you can get some mileage out of Countermeasures. They won't always be super helpful, but looks like they'll always have at least something semi-productive to do.
With his low cost, he'll be an easy one to keep an eye on as he will keep getting used in testing with the last few faction pieces, so I propose we move to Final Editing. |
