Re: The Book of Slingshot - Waiting On Initial
Honestly I'm pretty sure Slingshot was never Inhuman in the mainstream 616 at least. That said, I think Agents Of Shield fans are gonna be the main ones running her in games.

Re: The Book of Slingshot - Waiting On Initial
What kind of armies do we want to see here? Any good Agent combos I don't know about? Or it is still Fury + SHIELD Agents?

Re: The Book of Slingshot - Waiting On Initial
Quake and Coulson are good and don't really want SHIELD Agents. At least Quake doesn't. Fitzsimmons are also solid with Coulson and Quake.

Re: The Book of Slingshot - Waiting On Initial
Coulson is solid, though Slingshot doesn’t have great synergy with him since she wants to both move & attack on her turn. Simmons (in sanctum) would be a nice partner.

Re: The Book of Slingshot - Waiting On Initial
I'm a big proponent of the versatility Brand brings Agents. An army that might be strong is Brand, Gamora *2*, Slingshot, Coulson, and Quake. Using the 4 unit movement on Agents of SHIELD followed by Brand's Agent Backup lets you really cover some ground with Gamora. Slingshot and Quake could be useful to keep any major threats away from Gamora.
Martian Manhunter 1 or Wonder Woman 1 might also work well in place of Gamora here. |

Re: The Book of Slingshot - Waiting On Initial
Can't say to much here, but Simmons and her will really team up very well and will most likely impact her final points determination.

Re: The Book of Slingshot - Waiting On Initial
I’ll check out Simmons and Brand. Haven’t played either of them before so more army ideas are welcome!
Thanks for the analysis Fresh! |

Re: The Book of Slingshot - Waiting On Initial
C3G STANDARD PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM
NAME OF THE PLAYTEST UNIT: Slingshot Army Test Summary: Slingshot was quite cool, she acts as a kind of sniper in a way, but that can grab height advantage. Her bionic punch never fully paid off, and the positioning for Extraction wasn’t quite there (Was planning to grab Kirigi with it, but it never worked out). But she’s super fun and bizarre so far. Map: Custom Units: Slingshot (170), Agent Brand, Mystique, Kirigi (680) Vs. Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Shang-Chi (680)
Spoiler Alert!
___________________________________________________________ Army Test Summary: Slingshot wasn’t as useful this time. She sniped once or twice, but never did much damage, and could never set up her Punch. She wanted to hit Prof X with it, but the positioning never quite happened. Map: Custom Units: Slingshot (170), Nick Fury, Shield Agents X2, Agent Hunter, Commander Rogers (1000) Vs X-Men
Spoiler Alert!
___________________________________________________________ Army Test Summary: The Fighters could not keep up. Wolverine being locked out of the high ground battle was his death sentence, and Slingshot finishing Luke was nice. Catgirl was rolling some serious hot skulls, so she should have been targeted much quicker. Map: Custom Units: Slingshot (165), Zatanna III, Constantine, Batman I, Catgirl (800) Vs Luke Cake, Wolverine, Spider-Man (Miles), Swordsman (800)
Spoiler Alert!
___________________________________________________________ THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: I think she’s balanced. She’s a really weird figure to play, so it feels like she could come down a hair, but I think in the right hands she’ll be devastatingly good, so I don’t want to jump the gun on dropping her too much. GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: She’s extremely fun. The first time she snapped back I was hooked. It’s a bit hard to set up her punch, which is super handy with those very consistent auto-wounds, though. Also with only 4 life and 4 defense, she drops fast once targeted. The trick it to try to pick people off, and time your punch carefully, since once she drops next to someone, she’ll die pretty quick. Of note, I did not ever utilize Extraction. The few times I wanted to I could not get it set up. |

And Simmons could help with the 4 life/4 def weakness.

Re: The Book of Slingshot - Waiting On Initial
So should we test her with a slight crank down in her point cost or proceed as is and get a feel of some public results? Lord Pyre
