I'm okay with dropping his move down just a tad. Would that change his point cost a little?

Honestly, I think 5 move with an extra 2 space movement would generally be fine and not really affect his cost.

If you drop his base move down then I'd say shave like 10 points.

I'm going to be heading out for a while, but just another thought I had before I go. Could just make the second bonus movement require the use of the SA. Then he's only getting that fast turn every once in a while and if feels more like a 'tactical rush' move.

TACTICAL RUSH
After Maverick attacks with his normal attack, he may move up to 2 spaces. He must end this move engaged with an opponents figure and then must attack one additional time with a special attack.

You could also only make it occur when he attacks an opponent's figure. I think 5 points is fair though.

Spider-Man one shots Jean Grey and Maverick lands a small shot on Iceman. Beast lands a hit on Spider-Man and Iceman lands a shot on Deadpool due to Wisecrack. Maverick shoots Beast and Punches Iceman. Beast slams Spider-Man and Deadpool for a couple of hits and Iceman lands a shot on Silver Sable. Beast takes Deadpool down and lands a hit on Spider-Man. Beast smacks Maverick and Spider-Man swinglines away landing an unblockable on Beast. Iceman tries to hit Spider-Man and takes an unblockable and falls. Beast strikes Silver Sable and Maverick. Wolverine barely making it out of another punch fest with Thing. Wolverine is finally smashed by Thing. Silver Samurai teleports past the crowd and slashes Sue. Torch hits Samurai with a little Flame On! Thing moves in and finishes the job. Maverick shoots his shot at Reed and hits. Maverick takes Mr. Fantastic out and lands a good punch on Thing. Maverick shoots Thing and unsuccessfully tries to punch Johnny. Thing smashes Maverick with a crushing blow after a good brawl.

Winning Team: Thing with 5 wounds, and Human Torch with 4 wounds.

Blink teleports Maverick on top of a hill and he hits Cap from a distance with height advantage. With a killer roll Sgt. Rock lobs a grenade, deals some damage to Maverick and takes down Blink in one shot. Super Soldier flies in and finishes Maverick off. Jean Grey lands a small hit on Rock. Cap lands a couple of hits on Strong Guy and Jean with his Shield Throw. Strong Guy lands a punch on Cap and Jean gives him a toss to finish him off. Super Soldier lands a massive hit on Strong Guy only to have it redirected right at Rock. Strong Guy lands a hit on Super Soldier before the round ends. Super Soldier tried to smash Strong Guy and ends up killing himself. Guile takes a hit from Strong Guy. Guile negates Strong Guy’s attack with a Flash Kick. After an all-out brawl Strong Guy and Jean ultimately take the win.

Winning Team: Professor X with 0 wounds, Strong Guy with 4 wounds, and Jean Grey with 3 wounds.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Really love where this guy has landed. Super versatile when it comes to building an army. 3 different teams with 3 different OM hubs, and all pretty fun. All games were pretty close aside from the last one. Maverick was taken down really fast, which was fine, he’s solid against most figures. Heavy hitters on the other hand can land some good shots, and that sounds about right. I don’t see any issues keeping him at 240. Solid and simple.
