I'm okay with dropping his move down just a tad. Would that change his point cost a little?

Honestly, I think 5 move with an extra 2 space movement would generally be fine and not really affect his cost.
If you drop his base move down then I'd say shave like 10 points. |

I'm going to be heading out for a while, but just another thought I had before I go. Could just make the second bonus movement require the use of the SA. Then he's only getting that fast turn every once in a while and if feels more like a 'tactical rush' move.
TACTICAL RUSH After Maverick attacks with his normal attack, he may move up to 2 spaces. He must end this move engaged with an opponents figure and then must attack one additional time with a special attack. |

If I were to just have 2 extra move instead of 3, shave like 5 points off?

You could also only make it occur when he attacks an opponent's figure. I think 5 points is fair though.

I don't mind dropping the additional move to 2, I would like to leave him able to use it regardless of using his special. I can limit it to just opponent's figures though, that way he can't get the bonus from shooting his own guys.

yeah that works.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Really love where this guy has landed. Super versatile when it comes to building an army. 3 different teams with 3 different OM hubs, and all pretty fun. All games were pretty close aside from the last one. Maverick was taken down really fast, which was fine, he’s solid against most figures. Heavy hitters on the other hand can land some good shots, and that sounds about right. I don’t see any issues keeping him at 240. Solid and simple. |
