There just so...big. That is my ultimate direction though. Get him hooked on the co-op deck builder and then if we like the premise of a deck builder we could go down that rabbit hole.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

There is a lot of concepts I like in the Legendary series of games but there is a lot I have no idea on and those questions can really only be answered by playing it. I really want a Co-op that is actually Co-op and not multiplayer solitare or bite your tongue while someone does something stupid so you don't come off as Alpha dog taking over the game. We have Forbidden Desert and it's fine. My family likes it more than I do because I have to keep my mouth shut most of the time. Which I do so they can enjoy it. You really need to try out Sentinels of the Multiverse.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: What Board Game Are You Currently Playing?
I've now played and enjoyed the first 5 of the 22 new scenarios in my brand new Kickstarter package for The Great War: Expansion #2 The French Army. You can see my TGW experience on the first page of the BGG forum for that expansion (the links aren't working right now).
I just played a scenario by Richard Borg for Commands and Colors Ancients that is an interesting transitional scenario: Adrianople (Epic double board). Its set about 60 years after the last published battle from CCA, and 60 years before the first one listed for the upcoming new C&C Medieval design. Therefore it is the exact transition between the Late Roman Imperial Period (Late Ancient) and the Byzantine (Early Medieval Period) Hint: Never split up the Empire! 2019 will be a banner year for the publication of various new C&C games, redos, and expansions by Richard Borg! |

Re: What Board Game Are You Currently Playing?
Played Teotihuacan solo, 2-player, and 3-player over the past week. It is really good and a really good price for what you get in components.
Also, I have been trying to get some Guild Ball teams painted so I can run a few demos and get a league started. It has replaced Blood Bowl for me as my "sports" miniatures game. Opened Cerebria, but haven't had time to even read the rules yet. Looking forward to eventually playing it. After playing and enjoying 7 Wonders after our last Heroscape tournament, I was tempted by a friend to try 7 Wonders Duel. Interesting way of boiling down the draft mechanic into patterns of known and unknown cards throughout each era. If you like 7 Wonders, but don't have enough players to justify purchasing it, check out Duels. |

Said like someone who must not have played enough of it yet.
