Re: The Book of Gorilla-Man
Common and Unique, yes. The others, no.
I don't usually nag the art department for card updates just for capitalization stuff, though. |

Re: The Book of Gorilla-Man
Playing a game right now where Gorilla-Man just got destroyed by Solomon Grundy, and Grundy turned into Gorilla-Man as a result. Realized that technically I could then start rolling for Grundy's return power starting on the next turn and end up with both Grundy and Gorilla-Man Grundy alive on my team at the same time. I don't think that is the spirit of the power though, so I'm not going to roll to bring Grundy back now that he's turned into Gorilla-Man, but we might need an update here that says the attacking figure is removed from the game, instead of just destroyed, when catching the curse.

On the one hand, game, not a simulation, but on the other hand, that's a small, simple change with a result that feels tonnes more thematic. I'm with you. |

Re: The Book of Gorilla-Man
This is the specific change I'm talking about in case it wasn't clear.
CURSE OF THE GORILLA-MAN If a small or medium common or unique figure destroys Gorilla-Man with a normal or special attack, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 1-13, remove the attacking figure from the game. If possible, place Gorilla-Man on the space previously occupied by the attacking figure, remove all Order Markers and Wound Markers from this card and give this card to the player who controlled the figure that destroyed Gorilla-Man. That player now controls Gorilla-Man. Simians and Androids are not affected by Curse of the Gorilla-Man. Not a huge deal, but more thematic and balanced for anyone who has a resurrection power, a list that continues to grow. |

Re: The Book of Gorilla-Man
Seems like a good change.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Gorilla-Man
I think Gorilla-Man has a lot of weirdness as-is (like you shouldn't necessarily get the gun, or his secret identity, that sort of thing), so I don't mind the destruction thing having some wonkiness as well.
But it's a fair enough change and has very little practical impact so it works for me if people would prefer it! JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: The Book of Gorilla-Man
Typo in the OP probably generated by copying and pasting the IBWs:
"As a figure with the Super Strength special power, Gorilla Grodd interact differently with certain special powers: Special Powers that Interact Differently with Super Strength." |
