Whoa. This is just surreal. Mega props to you, ninth, for being a good man and diligent friend. And to the community for sticking together.

We need a big picture of ninth on the front page with a caption that just says "Don't make us send him after you!"

Thanks for the watchful eye man.

It's disturbing when you catch a glimpse of the "acheronian realms" that can hide behind something you consider to be just fun and friendly i.e. a heroscape site on the www in this case.
It's good to know that we have people here who are watchful.
Ninth,

Remember when the biggest worry around here was in The Good/Bad Trade thread?

'' Sigh...

Anyway thanks Doc for your part in dealing with this unfortunate intrusion of reality here in our little fantasy corner of cyberspace.

Guess I better get my buttt in gear and resume posting the Whitney adventures of Drake and jtserick! I think we can all benefit from some light diversion at this point.

I just found about "the subject" two hours ago and went through the hole thread. I'm shocked.

As a father of two, soon 3, I am touched and concerned by kids safety.

Thank you ninthdoc and the others for taking care of this.

Good grief. This had passed me by completely (one of the problems with "sticked" threads is that I think I've read all the important ones before - and I tend not to use some parts of the forum, including this one. But for the record, I'll say "Good grief" again.

Sometimes it makes me wonder if hiding behind usernames and avatars is a good idea, though. It works both ways, I suppose, but when you know someone's real name and appearance, it's a matter of a few mouse clicks to find out if they are a cop or a sleaze bucket. Unfortunately, they can then work out whether you are a stand-up guy or the next potential victim.

I mean, although I don't doubt it for a second, how do we really know that ninth is a cop/ex-cop? (OK, we now know, as it would be well-nigh impossible for anyone else to have helped in the way that he did in this situation). I'd certainly not pegged UD as a sleazebag, perhaps because I don't read so many OT posts or do the IM thing.

Definately a wake-up call though.

Q - "Are you one of those people who does The Times crossword puzzle in 10 minutes?"

A - "I have NEVER taken 10 minutes!"

Wow! Is TRAP branching out? Are we now trying our hand at thread necromancy?

Way to build that post count, deadeyedan42.

I've always been crazy, but it's kept me from going insane.

thanks for writing that down, ninthdoc

I second this I mean we wan't people to be very safe here I sya we set it up so that anyone under the age of 13 that registers have to supply a parent's email and send this to them as well as the child.
