Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Magneto *1*)
Yeah, poor guy is largely overshadowed by vII (sorry!). I think competitively he's often best just used as a normal ranged attacker with the marker on and only switching to using him as a thrower when you really need auto wounds.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Mystique *1*)
Never played her but I think she has potential in an agent build, more so than a mutant one. Dropping in with Fury lets her beeline for a key target, or you can activate her with Coulson and attack with her 7 range. In mutant builds I think she largely gets overshadowed by other figures near her price. She has her niche though.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Mystique *1*)
Yeah, she's solid in a Coulson build. She's got long range for cheap and engagement strike discourages getting in close.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Mystique *1*)
Also Incognito makes her tough to lock down even if you get past Engagement Strike.
Engagement Strike makes her decent fun as Magneto II's recruit in a Magneto II/Destiny build. Magneto can then throw enemies into her and Destiny can buff both rolls. There are a couple of On Deck cards that work really well with figure movement and auto-wounds based on engagement that would enjoy running with her as well. Definitely an assassin piece, though, good at getting through screens and attacking a key enemy piece. Not the biggest attacker, though, and fairly squishy, which keeps her in check. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Mystique *1*)
Late in the game for it, but I just started wondering: If we're going to go through this process with all the designs, is it work trying to get a consensus ranking together as part of it (i.e. letter grades)?
We could always take a pause after Mystique and post grades for what we have thus far and then average them out for a new rankings. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Mystique *1*)
I'd love to rank units. This project is in no rush, but I think we can start grading after the next two (Pyro and Toad) to wrap up Wave One, Booster Two. What do you think the best way to grade designs is? One grade on the design as a whole, or grading it in a couple different categories?

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Mystique *1*)
Well previous ranking threads have just done a letter grade (A+ to F-) and a short explanation.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Mystique *1*)
That's cool with me. Curious to see who's pulling up the bottom of the rankings for people!
I'll pause the unit posting for a little after Pyro and Toad, to give people time to make and post their rankings of the designs so far. |

Sounds like a plan.
