Re: The Book of Changeling
So I see the Cheetah form for Beast Boy has engagement strike in addition to the base move of 8. So it wasn't a full copy, Horse works great as a move only bonus.
The Changeling mini I have has him mid transformation into a Gorilla so I definitely want that one in there for animal forms (plus all the Gorilla figures we already created have a base attack of 6). Then their is another changeling mini option that has him turning into a Tiger, so maybe use Tiger instead of T-Rex or Bear? But then there is also a Green Tiger Beast Boy form so that form overlaps the two design spaces in terms of minis available. My thought process on the T-Rex = extra wound after the fact is the idea of him having a very strong/big bite so he is essentially chewing on you when he scores a hit, 1W for the initial attack and then 1 additional W later from a double chomp move. The Bear = additional figure effected by the attack was along the lines of a double claw swipe useful for squads. Tiger could fill either theme I suppose. |

Re: The Book of Changeling
Doomed seems odd for a personality. Granted I've never read Doom Patrol but the little research I've done doesn't point to anything that makes you think they are aware that they are doomed. Doomed makes it feel like they were told they all had 1 year to live so the go all out fighting a good fight knowing that was all they had...
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

As for using "you may choose one of the following", I know that's been used before, but has it ever been used where there's essentially a title to each effect? I understand that you want the animal name in there, so I was trying to make it seem natural to include that. |

Re: The Book of Changeling
I see what you are saying, I do want the animal forms directly referenced and not just the effects.

Jackrabbit is usually one word (unless you're talking about Peter's distant twice-removed third cousin, Jack -- which you shouldn't be talking about because the family has essentially disowned him). |

Re: The Book of Changeling
For instance, Polar Bear? I like Lion in place of T-Rex. Possibly Hyena for one as well? I think Hippopotamus and Elephant also offer interesting alternatives.

Re: The Book of Changeling
So change Cheetah to Horse and Rhino to Elephant.
Then we have Tiger that could replace Bear or T-Rex, but which ever one it replaces would then become the Beast Bear Tiger card power should it ever get made. Which effect, two claw swipes or big bite, would you all rather see the Beast Boy form have? Since Bear form already has a Maul power, maybe give the Tiger the double claw swipe (could change it to straight double attack) or a pounce themed power. I'm not married to the extra wound or extra figure effected ideas so we can always change the power effects to better match new animal forms. With the Rhino/Elephant power already being a fairly good anti-crowd control power he doesn't necessarily need an anti-squad attack power too. Maybe a snake themed power (poison, coil crush)? Coil Crush could give him a d20 bypass defense attack option. Tiger, attack one additional time. Snake, instead of attacking choose an adjacent figure and roll the 20-sided die, on the roll of 13 or higher the chosen figure takes 1 wound. |

Re: The Book of Changeling
Or, you could just swap the Tiger here to Saber Tooth Tiger. Or Bengal Tiger.
