Correct. No bases for the ants. I recommend Impact bases, which I believe is what @mac122 is using in the photos.

You are correct. I used another shade of Krylon Fusion spray paint - Boots Brown, I think.

Hey everyone that has shown interest in buying ants...they have arrived!

Even though I ordered them through Amazon, I found out that they came from a store in Austria...so that was why they took so long to get here.

I'm going to spend the holiday weekend with my family and will send out PM's starting Monday.

-ZB, shocked the shipping from Austria was not extravagant.
