Nothing I've seen (besides the movies) shows that he fears fire. Was that in the comics at all?

Well, he did in Van Helsing as well. And I kinda figured this guy would round all of that into one character. (BTW, Van Helsing was Universal's attempt to make all those movie monsters cool again. For me, it worked, but I was always a fan of them anyway.)

Originally, the design was a more generic Frankenstein's Monster but with his importance as a leader of S.H.A.D.E., we thought it was better to focus on how he's depicted in the comics.

While I'm at it, could you take some pics of this figure too?

Hmmm, this must be a very different Frankenstein than the stereotypical one I'm used to seeing. I realize you're designing around the comics version.

This is a fantastic mechanic, and it's a variant of Zauriel's Sword (which is equally awesome).

Undead Resilience
This is also clever! Wounds would chart 1/0/1/2/3... for 1/2/3/4/5..., unless the wounds would result in a KO.

I'm thinking the extra damage that might be inflicted via Human Torch's (Jim) Fireball Special Attack would be considered a separate batch: SA inflicts 3 wounds reduced to 1, then the 3 dice are rolled and get all skulls, so that would be 3 wounds reduced to 1. Net: 2 wounds. Correct? No, wait... it's 3 wounds reduced to 1, then you only roll 1 die for the extra damage. Assuming that's a skull, that would be a net of 2 wounds. Ok, same answer in this example, but it would produce a different result with different rolls.

Hmmm, let's see what we'd get if we interpret that you'd apply all the wounds with the interpretation that it's all part of the same attack: SA inflicts 3 wounds, roll 3 extra dice that all result in skulls, total of 6 wounds reduced to 4 (provided it didn't kill Frankie). I think my other interpretation in the preceding paragraph might be correct.

Sorry. I face these same questions every time I consider Magical Defense.

Creature Commandos
Would this be better listed as the first ability? You'd probably have to add "of Frankenstein" at the end of the last sentence.

C3G has a few Creatures now, so this provides bonding for that faction. I was checking the list, and most of them are pretty powerful.

Final Thoughts
There are a lot of clever ideas here. I love the idea of the Sword. With Undead Resilience, I'm facing the confusion I get with Magical Defense. That may be a "David issue."

Congrats again on making Hero!

How would Undead Resilience work on an extra roll after an attack? Azrael's burn damage is the example I'm thinking of since I played him recently.

I believe the extra damage would be part of that "single attack" referenced in the power.

I agree with David that Creature Commandos should be listed first on the card.

That's the way I played *. When he went against Black Widow and she had a non-adjacent attack with Poison Darts, if her attack was 1/0, I didn't give the extra poison damage because then it would have been a 2/0 attack and he would have ignored it, unless of course it would be the final two wounds. Her power says, "may add one additional wound," so it's optional and could be used to best benefit her.

In David's example from Human Torch, if it were 3 initial wounds and then 3 more from fire, that 6 wounds is reduced to 4, unless the 6 was enough to kill Franky. It would be enough to kill an unwounded * for sure.

If there is extra damage that is part of one attack, then it's from a single attack. The single attack distinguishes separate attacks from multiple attacking heroes and squads.

Knockback and Falling damage shouldn't count toward that attack, as you apply the wounds from the actual attack before you would even give Knockback or Falling damage because if they had died from the actual attack, then they'd never get knocked back or fall.

Maybe we should cap it at if you roll one or more blanks, the defending figure gets one unblockable hit? I'd hate to see multiple unblockable hits all the time if you manage to get this guy's normal attack pumped up.

I don't think we need a cap. Zauriel doesn't have one and he has a higher Attack.
