Thinking of consolidating.
I have 4 Walmarts in my area that I visit for HS stuff. Like many in other areas all of them have had nothing but Nakitas and Rats for what seems like forever. Obviously they're not going to put more on the shelf until the ones that have been collecting dust find their way out of the store.
This calls for something drastic. Would it be evil and completely ridiculous to buy up all the overstocked blisters from 3 of the 4 stores and then return them all to the 4th store? ![]() |

Its been said before...
And it would be a complete waste if the guy that chooses the stock has no clue what heroscape is... and just orders more of what is on the shelf now ![]() |

We've had this discussion before and the community is split on this issue. Some of us feel it is self serving at the expense of others. While many feel that it is an acceptable, if extreme, way to help the retailers sell you a product you want. The question lies in whether the act results in a hardship on the retailer or the hapless employees charged with restocking your shuffled goods. There is also the issue of you artificially changing the local sales dynamic that might affect other buyers in your area. You have to sort it all out on your own but the fact you are asking is a good sign...

Or there is option 3: Recruit more players and get them to buy their own stuff. It's a win win all around.

I say go for it. If there were more scapers in the general area they might be contimplating the same thing. Go for it and be ready to get angry incase the stock the shelves with crap.

we do both. i get Carolina Comics (my local hobby game and comic store) to order the new release for us. it's more expensive, but it gets them into my hands on time and it helps keep her store alive. then my "fill in" sets (we try and get 3 of each common squad) we get from Wal-Mart when the FINALLY get in (usually takes a minimum of 6 months-ironically wave 5 arrived the week of release-go figure)...

![]() Chances are I'd never do it just because of the effort that would be involved, and the fact that even though nothing illegal is being done, I'd feel like a creep for doing it (I'd have that someone looking over my shoulder feeling)... or whould I? ![]() Was really just a random thought that came to mind after checking one of the stores again yesterday and getting exactly what I expected. |
