Opponents may not move small or medium figures engaged with Clayface, and must subtract 3 from 20-sided die rolls they make for them.

CLAY CONSTRUCTION

Debut Act: Neat power that set up a big Grundy attack

Claymation: used once doing to wounds and tied down a couple of figures

Clay Construction: Helped soak up some wounds but only triggered Claymation once

Fun 6 round game. Clayface wasn't as much of a factor as I hoped he would be. He did a great job of stopping the Wrecking Crew from getting extra turns, but after his Debut act he was lined up for a perfect Bulldozer charge that hit him for 4 wounds. He did boost Grundy for some extra Crush wounds on Piledriver.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Solomon Grundy was left standing with 3 wounds and 4 life left

Debut Act: Swapped out for Solomon Grundy, but ended up getting hit by Gamora for 4 wounds

Claymation: It helped with a few bonus wounds for Grundy Crush, also kept Gamora from rolling for Godslayer power.

Clay Construction: Ignored 3 wounds, but never was able to trigger because he always took wounds.

Long 8 round game, but Clayface only stuck around for 4 of them and didn't get to do much. He used his Debut Act on turn 1 of round 2 and ended up taking 4 wounds from Gamora. That kept him from seeing any order markers. Ms Marvel went down in round 2 but Cap and Solomon Grundy were able to grind down Kingpins army. Last 2 rounds were Winter Soldier being chased down by Solomon Grundy..

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Solomon Grundy 2 wounds/5 life left

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: 255 seems close. I can see him being a pain for the Fantastic 4 or any team that relies on d20 rolls.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: I think Clayface got unlucky in my games. He seems like his role is to protect important figures in your army from going down. In my games he seemed a little squishy, but with 6 life, 4 defense and the ability to ignore a wound he shouldn't be. In game 1 he took a big shot from a charging Bulldozer(2 auto-skulls) getting hit with 4 wounds, and in game 2 Gamora rolled 6 skulls on 6 dice, doing 4 wounds. Bad luck but it also shows where Debut Act can go wrong. Both times I used that power, it was to protect Solomon Grundy. He's pretty stout on his own and maybe I should have waited for a better spot. Once he uses Debut he locks down figures, but now hes also the main target, which again is good and bad. You look at Blob who locks you down similarly but has a much stronger defense. Maybe a reduction in attack by 1 for engaged figures could help? He works well with Grundy, the make a good base at 610. I like pairing Spike with them, adding an auto-wound option, for 800. He's probably better than he showed for me. Cool ideas for a unit.

Grodd advances.
Batman takes height on the lower concrete.
Cheetah advances. She’s about a space or two shy of being able to leap up and attack Wonder Woman.
Superman flies up next to Wonder Woman.
Grodd sheds a marker, strolls over, and hits Batman for three wounds. He targets Batman again, but Superman sheds a marker and takes one wound in his place (terrible defensive rolling here). Cheetah leaps up to attack Wonder Woman, but fails to hit.

Round 2: Wonder Woman and Lex both remove markers. Initiative Legion of Doom. Grodd sheds a marker and attacks Batman, but Superman sheds another JL Marker and defends him. Cheetah hits Wonder Woman for one wound.
Clayface makes his Debut Act to protect Gorilla Grodd from a 5 skull attack from Superman. Clayface takes three wounds.
Cheetah can’t hit Wonder Woman.
Superman goes. He fails to hit Clayface with an attack, triggering Claymation. Both Batman and Superman fail rolls, KO’ing Batman and wounding Superman and sticking him on height disadvantage to Clayface. Wonder Woman gets Batman’s markers.

Unit Summary: Clayface certainly helped here, as did overall dice luck, but this one felt more about Grodd giving the Legion better turn efficiency, the Legion of Doom catching all the initiative luck, and Green Kryptonite being such a nasty counter to Superman.
