Re: The Book of Matt Murdock - Breathing
Negotiation should probably be a normal movement power, since that power is just bonkers to begin with. We'd have to update all our Negotiation designs though.
Still not in love with Matt as an attorney dealing any damage while bonding. I think him movement bonding and being able to use Negotiation is powerful enough. He's a defense attorney so if anything he should boost defense rather than deal damage. |

Re: The Book of Matt Murdock - Breathing
How about we go away from straight Negotiation, and create a Negotiated Defense that protects Murdock and his Client? Would have to reveal the X to do it, so it would be a once per round power like Prof X. Could maybe even go back to the Cross Examination power name. Although I like Negotiated Defense as a name.

Re: The Book of Matt Murdock - Breathing
How about this in place of Negotiation:
NEGOTIATED DEFENSE Once per round, if Matt Murdock or an adjacent Client figure is targeted for an attack by a figure within 4 spaces, you may reveal an “X” Order Marker on this card. If you do, the targeting figure’s turn immediately ends. |

Re: The Book of Matt Murdock - Breathing
Updated Power Set with Negotiated Defense in mind:
"BLIND JUSTICE You may draft this figure into the same army with one other Matt Murdock figure that is not an Attorney. Start the game with this figure on the battlefield. At the start of any round after this figure or his Client has been destroyed, remove this figure from the game and place the other Matt Murdock on an empty space next to any figure you control. ATTORNEY CLIENT PRIVILEGE At the start of the game you may choose one Unique Hero you control to be Matt Murdock's Client. After revealing an Order Marker on his Client’s card and taking a turn with that Hero, you may place Matt Murdock adjacent to his Client. NEGOTIATED DEFENSE Once per round, if Matt Murdock or an adjacent Client figure is targeted for an attack by a figure within 4 spaces, you may reveal an “X” Order Marker on this card. If you do, the targeting figure’s turn immediately ends." I like how generic Attorney Client Privilege is with this version. It allows for it to be used by other possible attorney figures like Foggy and She Hulk. |

Re: The Book of Matt Murdock - Breathing
Generally the direction looks solid. Might be good with Ares or other figures that like cheapos who move for free.

Re: The Book of Matt Murdock - Breathing
That feels much better to me personally
That said, having Public Defender (Or defense attorney, either way is good by me!) being just as powerful as Prof X essentially could be pretty potent. I could see adding a restriction or something to it, but right this second I'm not sure what. |
