Vancouver WA July 25th Bring-A-Friend Event

Sounds fantastic 2xhero....bring veterans and inexperienced players alike - I will be using the time to teach new players.

I think that a fun game day is a great idea. It's a great way to allow for more inexperienced players to get some experience so that they won't shy away from future tournaments. I would actually almost like to see this turn into a yearly thing.

You have a very good point there Tauren, we may have to do that each summer - and then do the tournaments Oct, Jan & April...and the August event be a fun game day.

As mentioned above, there will be no concession stand at this event, so all participants are requested to bring some snacks or finger food to share - we will set up a buffet table of sorts for the food. Chips, cookies, veggies, fruits, etc.

Shy Monster does not have sufficient inventory at this time but will be taking orders at the event for those interested.

Bring your extras to set up trades, bring your address books to keep in touch with other players....and your day planner to mark down the date of the October event so NOBODY has an excuse to miss it.

Please let me know by Thursday who all will be there so I can plan on how many maps to build. Thank you.

I have confirmation! There will be me, my daughter, my wife, my daughter's friend and my daughter's friend's parent for a total of 5 there this Saturday!

So far I have me, Tauren_Marine +5 and I am waiting for confirmation on 2 more. I am thinking that one of them will come.

EDIT: I haven't heard back from either, so I have determined that they will not be coming.

We are waiting on a few more to phone back, but as it stands we have 16 & Counting. There should be another 1-4 more though still signing up.

We will have coffee, water & some kind of punch/lemonade. On the snack front, we are bringing meatballs and cookies....and order forms for Shy Monster Games for (the best prices around) Heroscape stuff.

It will be kept loose, but we are aiming for 535 points - if you want to play for more points than that....make that arrangement with your opponent and have your game done in sixty minutes.

NO PRIZES. This is just a fun day of playing, not a tournament. Save your game face for October when its for all the marbles and some.

We just picked up at least 8, perhaps 12 more...very nice. Of course none of them have played before.

We will have about 28 people. Very cool.

All right! I just got back home. I wish I could have stayed longer but unfortunately could not. I had a lot of fun teaching some kids how to play. Most of the ones I played with seemed to understand the rules. I will need to be cautions next time when they might be good enough to beat me lol.
