The short answer is we don't know. But we need to keep in mind how relevant Time Travel is to the Flash, especially Barry Allen. He and Iris marry and have kids in the future and Bart, his grandson, is raised in a time when people live through virtual reality. And Bart's cousin is a member of the Legion of Super Heroes. This alternate life for Barry all happens centuries in the future before Crisis on Infinite Earths were he dies (sans Black Flash, I might add.) Also, his greatest nemesis is from the Future (Eobard Thawne, the Reverse Flash, aka Professor Zoom). That is all meant to say that just because Barry was chased by the Black Flash in the recent past after his Rebirth, doesn't mean he wasn't also the Black Flash. I'd also point out that Thawne took on the mantle after Blackest Night. Lastly, have you seen the pics of Barry's death in Crisis? That skeletal remains look an awful lot like the Black Flash.

I'm okay with that. He's pretty much in the same boat as Mxyzptlk there (who goes down when he eventually flubs a d20 roll, which will happen more quickly with squads).

So my takeaway here is that Black Flash might have been Barry the whole time, but also might not have been, and they're functionally separate entities. I don't think it's a particularly big deal, since they're probably not getting played together any time soon anyway, but it sounds like no secret identity is the way to go.

Really? I think Bullseye has something similar I think with just his first name. You could vary the number of question marks to avoid rules lawyers.

I just remember the ????? identity was brought up before and I believe the thoughts were to avoid it if possible.

I guess I could see the ?????? approach here, but I'd prefer to avoid it and just leave him without a secret identity. Varying numbers of question marks is a precedent I really don't want to be the one to set; I think you can only do that once or twice before it starts getting confusing.

Hobgoblin, Man-Bat, Black Manta, Taskmaster, and Miss Martian are also on my most wanted list. I believe they have all been drafted by someone so that's good news.

Vandal Savage would be interesting but not sure if I've seen a write-up for him as of yet. I'm sure it's out there but I'm not remembering it.
