Heroscape's VERSUS - Round 3

[The Deadliest Warrior]

Round 2's battle:

Khosumet the Darklord stalked through the foggy, swampy forest with 3 of his Anubian Wolves, searching for prey. The prey came in the form of Alastair MacDirk and his MacDirk Warriors, who had set camp for the night in the middle of the road.

The pitch-black darkness allowed the Wolves to creept up to the Scotsman standing guard. With a quick sweep of Khosumet's sickle, the head rolled to the ground, with the body crumpling on top of it.

The dull thud of the falling body was enough to rouse the wary MacDirks, however, and one charged valianly out, sword in hand, and plunged his blade deep into one of the Wolves' chests, killing it. The Scot himself, however, was just as quickly struck down.

The remaining two MacDirks and Alastair himself emerged from their tents, weapons in hand. Alastair charged at Khosumet and the two leaders began to fight fiercely, until Khosumet stabbed Alastair in the leg. Blood trickled out, and the MacDirk Warriors, furious at their leader's injury, fought with increased mettle against the Wolven attackers.

An Anubian fell to a Scotsman's blade. The final Anubian Wolf let loose all his Fury into the night and tore open one of the MacDirks with his brute force and just as easily killed the final one. Then he turned on Alastair.

The Scottish leader was forced to Overextend his combat abilities to deal with this new threat. He spun round and cleaved the Wolf cleanly in two, but was wounded by Khosumet as a result.

Alastair spun round with such anger and speed that Khosumet could only stare in horror as the Scot plunged his huge Claymore Sword into his opponent's soft underbelly. Khosumet went limp, and ALastair quietly went back into his tent, mourning the loss of his comrades.

WINNER: The MacDirks won with 21 votes to The Wolves' 17.

AND NOW ROUND 3 OF HEROSCAPE VERSUS!

The rules are simple and the battles are brutal.

RULES

1: Two Heroscape figures (Hero or Squad) battle a figure of equal classification (so it's either hero vs. Hero or Squad vs. Squad)
2: You all go wild on a debate for your favorite figure that you want to win (regardless if they would win in "real 'Scape-life or not - this is for fun)
3: I tally the votes and write a battle sequence with the winner slaying the other in an epic battle!

Round 3's competitors are 2 classic female Kyrie fighters...

Runa. They have the same stats, but it'll just take a single 20 for her to end it.

I'd go with Runa for the same reason: she can move, potentially kill and attack all in the same turn. Raelin can't.

I think Raelin would win (of course not in a real battle), she also stopped Cyprien from killing Drake (Thormun's journal)

Yea, in game it's runa, but Raelin is a hero, so she would win in a 'real' fight.

That spear is probably not easy to use in close quarters like those swords... and the 1-Though kill... Runa. All the way.

In heroscape Runa wins. In a real battle Raelin wins by the fact that she fights for Jandar and as such good triumphs over evil.
Besides I always vote for the underdog. (this includes but is not limited to the Detroit Lions and UofM Wolverines)

Whatever. Runa actually beat Raelin even when she had sentinels guarding her. She flew up killed two of her sentinels.

Spoiler Alert!

The grass is singed black, as Runa slowly floats to a landing. Three sentinels collapse to the ground behind her while she stares at Raelin, eyes unwavering.

"Not even your staff can protect them from me, Raelin. Nor can it protect you." With a flash she charges forward, spear directed at the throat of her prey.

Sometimes even the most beautiful of beings hold within their chests a blackened heart.

Raelin dashes to the right, though it is to no avail; her shoulder catches the tip of Runa¹s spear and she tumbles through the air, crying out in pain.

Some say that Runa is born of Utgar himself, for her cruelty nearly matches that of the evil Archkyrie. Even her comrades fear her malice.

Raelin rights herself and climbs high into the sky in hopes of escape. Runa lifts her fiery red gaze and whispers under her breath, "We¹ll meet again, pathetic warrior."
