If I'm looking at the numbers right, only about 7% of designs that receive a downvote are eventually inducted. (I didn't include any designs that were withdrawn in my calculations) It'd be an interesting study in correlation vs. causation.

The point is just that a downvote carries a lot of weight, and while an upvote does as well, the downvotes are the heaviest. Capsocates wields the downvotes the most, and that is why he is seen as the hardest judge to please.

Of course if a judge likes your design, they can argue their side of it, and that could turn a downvote, into an upvote, but that's not very common.

17% of units inducted received a downvote, which is not the same as 17% of downvoted units get in. As Dysole pointed out, that number is 7%.

Below is an official submission for my custom Agrith-Naar

Demons are awesome, and nothing as terrifying as this guy has come to the ranks of Valkrill until now (see the bio and let me know what you think )



Bio:
Cloaked figures lowered their arms in the circle as they completed the monotone incantation; a massive, muscled demon standing before them. The foremost of Valkrill’s clerics stepped forward to speak. “Agrith-Naar! We have summoned you — “ but he was cut off as long, blade-like teeth flashed out to take him. His body dropped; lifeless. Clerics scattered in every direction, fearing to be next. Then the Demon spoke. “Who do I hunt?” Hesitantly a woman stepped forward, and pointing south said, “Over that hill and camped in the valley.” The Demon’s eyes turned stark white as a grotesque grin etched it’s way across his face. He flew into the air, beginning his hunt. The woman lowered her head and whispered, “What have we done?”


Agrith-Naar is the Greater Death Demon #37 from the D&D Legends of Golarion line.

• Balance
  The 120pt mark for Heroscape heroes is well known as the sweet spot for strong heroes. He has a bit of a comparison to the Hydra for the attack output and power, but notably his mobility is better and his attacks don’t weaken as wounds are done. He’s powerful on his own, but best utilized to wreck havoc on early/midgame. Rarely in the endgame, as all one needs to do is avoid him in order to have him kill himself off. That said, he can be the perfect, malicious, tormenting hunter to tear through opponents. He’s had good strong games where he’s contributed considerably to the win, and others where he fell short because of the nature of his ability that balances him. Even if a player wants to get off 4 attacks, there’s no guarantee all attacks will go through…so the player has to constantly be considering if the reward is worth the risk of losing him in a vulnerable situation. It’s never a easy “no-brainer” bonding decision with A-N.
  
• Playability
  A-N is unique in that he has simple, understandable powers that take very little effort to remember. SbB always deals a wound to something, himself or another squad figure. Flying we’ve seen and Quad attack is a representation of his 4, muscular armies that he uses as he hunts enemies. So while he’s simple, he play style is rich with tough, strategic decisions. You want to get him engaged to pull off 4 powerful attacks, but doing so might also isolate him, which will only make him more vulnerable to a counterattack as well as his own weakening power.
  
• Creativity
  Does it add something new to the game? Yes absolutely. It adds a time-clock for himself and a distinct, purposeful tension between the offensive output and survivability. You have to know when to use him at the right time, and you also need to plan on WHO to use him with, as he’ll be taking tolls on your army throughout the game. He’s powerful, but he’s beatable because of his dependance on your army containing multiple expendable units.
  
• Theme
  This figure is a Demon. Check. This figure is visibly tormenting in his facial expression and SbB ability. Check. This figure is clearly an offensive powerhouse by looking at his pose, multiple muscular arms and weapons. Check. Imo he fits the theme of what we’re going for with the Demon factions.
  
• Accessibility
  Paizo has 109 currently in stock (confirmed today)

I love this design. I'm glad you left Quadruple Attack as is, and didn't limit it in any way. I remember some concern about that. Very excited to see this go through the SoV.

It's neat, the drawback is interesting though may limit armies he can be played with. Need a lot of little cheap squadies to munch on. What's the figure availability? How can you see that Paizo has that many? I see no list of amount on their site.

You can fill your cart to 99+ and that’s usually accurate. But for good measure I emailed their customer service team and they confirmed that number.

Agrith-Naar is pretty interesting. Seems to me Sustained by Blood is more of a countdown timer since self-kills are painful, but I can see the occasional value (or a build around it). Quadruple Attack seems scary, but four attacks per activation isn't exceptional. I am scared of combining it with any Demon-bonding units, though...

Definitely worth a try. to review Agrith-Naar.
