The Book of Indigo-2 (Munk) C3G DC SUPER SECRET EXCLUSIVE 81 FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS: INDIGO GUYS Comic PDF Mini PDF The figure used for this unit is a Heroclix figure from the DC War of Light set. Its model number and name are #018 / Munk. _________________________________________________________________ Character Bio - Munk, also known as Indigo-2, is the second in command of the Indigo Tribe. As a member of the Indigo Tribe, Munk has the power of emotional spectrum emulation. A power unique to the Indigo Tribe, the Indigo can emulate the other energies of the emotional spectrum when they are in close proximity to them and use those energies for their own purposes. This ability creates a visible symbol of the copied light in front of the "pod" of the staff, and can be used to mimic their powers. _________________________________________________________________ -Rulings and Clarifications-

SECRET IDENTITY = MUNK SPECIES = UNKNOWN UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = TRIBESMAN PERSONALITY = COMPASSIONATE SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5 LIFE = 5 MOVE = 5 RANGE = 1 ATTACK = 3 DEFENSE = 3 POINTS = 270 INDIGO POWER STAVE 3 Start the game with 3 indigo Battery Markers on this card. Add 1 to Indigo-2's Range and Defense numbers for each indigo Battery Marker on this card. CHANNEL EMOTIONAL ENERGY At the start of Indigo-2's turn, if there is at least one indigo Battery Marker on this card, you may choose a Unique Hero within 4 clear sight spaces that started the game with one or more Battery Markers on its card. For the rest of Indigo-2's turn, Indigo-2 may use any special powers on that figure's Army Card. If a special power on that card refers to Battery Markers on that figure's card, it refers to indigo Battery Markers on this card instead. The consensus from the Last Chance thread seemed to be to allow Munk to copy other Indigo Lanterns. That will effectively give him the Teleportation power when paired with Indigo-1 and LV's Indigo Recruits for that synergy hook. |

Is he suppose to burn the Markers to use the CHANNEL EMOTIONAL ENERGY power. If not why does he have markers at all and not just bake it into the stats. Most Lanterns have a way to use their battery Markers.
EDIT: Nevermind I see now. He could burn his marker if copying another lantern's power that uses a marker. Nothing to see here. Move along. Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Yeah, he'll need another Lantern nearby to burn battery markers.
The original write-up had Tribal Teleportation. Most wanted to remove that as it was Indigo-1's main thing, and the logic was that Munk could copy it off of her anyway using Channel Emotional Energy. It's thematically off for him to copy other Indigos, but the slight theme break is worth the benefits in my opinion. (LV's Indigo Recruit has mechanical synergy with teleportation, and Munk should work well with his own faction.) |

Yes. He's saying he changed it to allow the interaction.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

I guess my only real issue is stuff like passive, non-battery themed powers. Like, particularly with guys like YL Hank Henshaw, whose powers are mostly themed around having Kryptonian DNA or being a cyborg and that sort of thing. Like, isn't is kind of weird that Munk can suddenly use Consciousness Transmission?
If we want to accept that there's going to be weirdness that's fine with me, but it does bring up a flag for me, particularly as we open things up to more passive powers. Also, should he be able to copy Black and White Lanterns? JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

That's just a thematic line we have to cross unless we limit it to powers that remove battery markers. But even that is tricky, because some powers involve battery markers but don't remove them and some powers might remove a battery marker depending on what you do. At best you're copying one figure's powers - not combining them with anything else - so it should be balanced. Just a little thematic oddity.
Indigos have channeled Black Lantern energy. They've never channeled White Lanterns, but there's never been anything saying they can't to my knowledge (LV and I disagreed on this point). Limiting it to Unique Heroes cuts out all the White Lanterns (even the planned ones) anyway. |

The one turn only limitation here should help prevent a lot of troublesome combinations. Still, it'll be interesting to try to break that in testing.
