If I use Phantom Stranger with Scarlet Witch and she has put 3 Curse markers on other army cards, how does that work?

Probably needs to be clarified on what is considered “removed”. Scarlet removes a marker if it’s not an Event or Unique Hero, but she “places” the marker if it’s an Event or Unique Hero, rather than stating “remove”. Does that count?

If so, then I’d imagine she’d get the marker back and the person no longer is cursed.

But if the figure has been destroyed I can get the marker back then right? Your interpretation is what I thought.

Yeah, the wording should probably specify "removed from the game" or "removed from this card." I believe there's a "cleanup" step when a figure is destroyed where you remove all markers from their card.

There is not.

If something is removed from the game, it’s not possible. It’s no longer in the game.

Ideally Scarlet Witch would be able to pull back markers she has placed. Not sure how to word that clearly, though.

Agreed. If a figure is cursed, destroyed, then resurrected, they are still cursed.
