Uh, R˙chean, does taking a very circuituous route so as to actually drive the furthest to get to Gameworks count? 'Cause if it does, I plan to circle Loop 820 about 8 times. "Chewie should move 6, lumbering or not. He's got long-ass legs"-

With the price of gas, I'm not sure you're going to break even on that one...

Re: HEXES in TEXAS 2008 - NHSD - Dallas/Ft.Worth Tournament
It is a $15 game card for the person residing the furthest away.
Glad you can make it Aahz! In other news, DrinkMoreGuinness has agreed to run the tournament for us. This means that I definitely get to play in the tournament. I know this pleases all of you as getting beat by me will certainly be the highlight of your Heroscape life. No autographs though; I have to draw the line somewhere. |

*Disclaimer: The Skahen army, if I recall correctly, included Skahen, Runa, Kee-Mo-Shi, and Parmenio. ** **Disclaimer the Second: This is not true, of course. I made it up. The army. I made up the army. Your real army that you're proposing I did beat. "Chewie should move 6, lumbering or not. He's got long-ass legs"-

Re: HEXES in TEXAS 2008 - NHSD - Dallas/Ft.Worth Tournament
It isnt the army that wins, it is the person playing the army. Have you learned nothing of what I teach?
Who played the army I am proposing? Were you playing with..I mean against yourself? The raelin, rat, agent army is only a smoke screen to provide you a false sense of security. The wild west army of all cowboys/ninjas/samurai will certianly own! Last edited by R˙chean; September 12th, 2008 at 12:09 PM. |

Listening young padawan now is. Against myself playing I was not. {Ahhh, R˙chean, I can totally see you smacking your hand into your palm as you speak your words above.} <lifts head, wipes tear> I won't let you down master. "Chewie should move 6, lumbering or not. He's got long-ass legs"-

Re: HEXES in TEXAS 2008 - NHSD - Dallas/Ft.Worth Tournament
Yes, your role in the Dallas Ft Worth Heroscape scene is still developing.
It could be worse; you could already have your destiny set in stone like Velenne who can only win a tournament when I am not in it, or Rodriquez who is the perpetual almost there player: he wins the battles (beats me like a drum) but loses the war.(never won a tournament). Even worse, you could end up like DrL who is always left with nothing but excuses. |

EDIT: I, myself, have the self-appointed shameful title of "Guy Who Can Only Beat His Nine Year Old Cousin" I'm going to have to bring it to NHSD to get past that. |

Re: HEXES in TEXAS 2008 - NHSD - Dallas/Ft.Worth Tournament
It is never too early to start talking smack.....
Speaking of which, there is a noticeable absence in this thread from a few has beens…er...I mean...now less active players: UranusPChicago - Rumor of his retirement from the game have run rampant. Once an unbeatable force in Dallas, he has chosen a life of exile. The dark forces of Raknar's Vision have cut him off at the knees and he is no longer able to field a competitive army. His last offering was at a team tournament where drones and cowboys were played. A rather disappointing showing from the Master Strategist. I think his title should be changed to Mad Scientist as his only passion anymore are custom comic creations and his spreadsheets. All that can be heard from him on the scape front is his mutterings about how Q9 ruined the game. I have heard that he is poised and primed to make a comeback. Lets hope he doesn’t take some stupid pills and show up with Runa and Dund. wisinger - Once considered a growing legend on the Dallas tournament scene, winning our first NHSD event in grand fashion, it has gone to his head. He won using a somewhat unorthodox army that relied on reavers and some suspect range like Zettians. He has slowly faded from the tournament scene and can only be relied upon to show up at an occasional game day sporting some nonsense concocted around Taelord. He thinks he can win with anything, but knows in his heart he can’t win without his precious…his reavers. A shadow of his former self, I suspect his leash will be just too short to make a showing at the biggest event of the year. lilwis - the one holding wisinger's leash; she was one of the best players going at one time until she gave up the game. Now she is content to let wisinger soil their scape rep all on his own. InfinityMax - The owner of VixentorGames, one of our title sponsors, used to be one of the most feared forces in the area. Now he is little more than a bump in the road. Don’t look for him to show up for repeated ass kickings, he has bigger things on his global mind. Ninthdoc - Fresh off a strong showing at GenCon, he seemed ready to get back in the mix. Apparently his irrational fear of Velenne has gotten the better of him. Unfortunately he has chosen to hide behind some ramblings about family events in the month of October. Apparently, not even Shiner Black Lager on tap can bring him out to Gameworks. Grungebob - the man, the myth, the legend. He is unable to make local appearances anymore. His publicist said that only events with national exposure are worth his time. So while our little DFW NHSD is beneath him, at least we don’t have to put up with his musings about Grungebob island. Yeah, yeah sir Hawthorne, we know: it's your scape world and we are just living in it. Last edited by R˙chean; September 12th, 2008 at 03:52 PM. |
